Messing_AroundMake it like in the trailer: https://youtu.be/36lSzUMBJnc?t=183
Only teammate received stock Uber, the Medic has Megaheal
Normal healing rate - overheal
+25% Ubercharge rate (Basically like Kritzkrieg)
I would add the knockback resistance to that so it can counter a pyro otherwise it is basicly inferior to stock
tsarMoist_PenguinAs for a poll it may be hard to prevent people from making alts to influence a vote, which while it may seem like people wouldnt go to that effort for a tf2 comp poll, people have put more effort in for less reward before.
We could use a strawpoll where you can only submit once per computer. I doubt there would be that much malicious intent
All strawpoll can do is ip verification or put a cookie on your browser, both of which can be easily avoided. There is no easy way to do secure online voting when you dont know the list of people who are going to vote.
PJCIn ETF2L, there's been a "preseason cup" before every season which has allowed teams to test out new maps and then vote on those maps. Until the "secret meeting" global whitelist was introduced, unlocks were included in this testing & voting phase also. Why not introduce this kind of thing globally? If not a cup, perhaps a whitelist that runs during the entire offseason that can be used for testing in scrims/mixes/pugs?
The only way you're going to reach a satisfactory middle-ground is by holding a vote on it, which, in my opinion, should not exclude everyone that doesn't fit into the arbitrary skill measurement of Invite/Prem (sorry elitists, but Open/Mid/IM/High players are still players, and not all of them are "retards"). Put out a poll that's advertised on all the league & other comp-related sites so that there's little excuse for people to complain about being left out.
We have often struggled to get good testing from preseason cups because top teams rarely play them, they dont seem to want to test anything in a formal format. As for a poll it may be hard to prevent people from making alts to influence a vote, which while it may seem like people wouldnt go to that effort for a tf2 comp poll, people have put more effort in for less reward before.
DifferWhy didn't this meeting happen at the *beginning* of the off season? I'm pretty sure y'all remember that people were kind of annoyed when you did the exact same thing throwing changes at people at the last minute before S23. If you really want to give people time to experiment, can you plan a little further in advance next time?
Don't get me wrong--I've been a little out of the loop, and I'm grateful to the people who care enough about TF2's future to organize and attend these meetings. But S23 ended early in December. Why wait?
There were several factors, we wanted to wait till after the christmas update incase there were any balance changes in that, then combined with Christmas, new years and just finding an agreeable time for most parties is why it happens now.

EvrewsAlright, thanks for the help. I'll hold out for a few months until price drops or a sale, and check for a non-EVGA 1070 (likely Gigabyte G1) and 4790K then.
I'm curious, what are the Xeon series? They have a lower ghz but are higher performing? Seems they handle 3D rendering and CAD programs well but are expensive and I wonder how they do with gaming.
Xeon are cpus aimed at workstation/servers.
They generally have lower clock speeds, more threads that make them better for applications that can be heavily multi threaded. ie not gaming.
For example the Xeon E5-2679 v4 is a 20 core 2.5 GHz CPU and has the highest score on CPU benchmark, https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html it also costs $3000.
However on the single thread score it scores very poorly for its price, performing worse than a significant number of i3/5s.
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html
Combined with motherboards that often dont have the features you might want for gaming, USB3, multiple pcie slots and their stupid high price. Avoid xeon stuff if you want to game unless you can get it for cheap 2nd hand or something.
You would get better tf2 performance on a Pentium G3258 a good cooler and some overclocking. Plus you would have a few thousand dollars left over.
edit: I did pick an extreme example of xeon processors but my point is still valid for gaming
Please be real

Geel9Moist_PenguinHad a 60 hour medic throw my last game by "getting stabbed by invisible spy" around 15 times. We dragged it to golden cap once he disconnected then lost the golden cap to 4 scouts a demo and a medic because class limits dont work.
Worse than tf2center
Which probably cost me my BMOC as i was in 3rd place before that game
please add some kind of hour miniumum or a rule that you have to understand how all 9 classes work before playing.
Also fix the class limits
"I had a single bad experience, based on the players in the game, so the service itself is terrible"
http://pix.iemoji.com/images/emoji/apple/ios-9/256/thinking-face.png
I played around 10 games yesterday and not all of them were bad but i picked one that represented the worst experience that i had. That was the only game that had people abusing class limits but almost every game had one player who was very new, which is fine most of the time but once they are on medic and dont get off they are a detriment to your team.
I know the normal excuse is that faceit tf2 is too small for an effective elo system to be in place but last night was supposed to be a popular night yet this issue still persisted. Faceit just isnt worth my time when i could be playing on other services that i have a better experience on, tf2c, pugchamp, pickup when it was alive. If faceit is the future and all other pug sites should close as it is so amazing the future of tf2 is bleak.

This was really well made but as others have said a better mic would be a good step in the right direction, the quality seemed fine at the start but at around 1:40 the quality went down noticeably and a buzzing sound got introduced.
YeeHawYou know what? No. I'm trough with Valve. I'm trough with the no communication. I'm trough with everything being postphoned indefinitely. I'm trough with them still not fixing the major bugs in the game. I'm trough with them publishing half-assed updates. I'm trough with instead of getting all that, getting actually enjoyable updates, we get a shitton of useless cosmetics.
I get that all this doesn't concern your point, but I don't think now should be the time to defend Valve. Maybe some our suggestions are not completely right, they are still sending Valve a message, which is absolutely nessecary. Valve needs to change their ways.
you wanted through
what are the chances of their being an eu cup or is eu faceit dead now?
FlickerHypnotizeLoosing 16-2 on one of their best maps https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/64138/1.0
Stop it already, Cache stopped being one of NiP's strongest maps months ago already.
Really don't know what's got into them though. That only goes to show how fucking broken the system to get to a major is : Flipside and Gambit are legends while NiP won't even be there and yet are arguably a much stronger team.
I agree on the cache statement while they did beat SK on cache but that is/was sks 1st ban.
And I can see where you can say gambit are a worse team with them getting an easy two bo1 for the legend spot but I think flipside are a better team than nip most of the time. I know NIP can be a very good team sometimes but most of the time I would say flipside are better just because nip are so inconsistent you cant judge a team on their best performances only
