I think Russians deserve a better explanation than what was posted on the site. People are not happy with the decision of not allowing Russians to use the site. I don't think it's that big of a deal but considering to ban them from serveme servers completely when the war arbitrarily gets worse is an awful decision. You would deal a heavy blow to an already dying competitive scene. Serveme has a monopoly in European tf2 (unlike US) so it should be conscious of that. Banning a player needs to be done very sensibly and heavily scrutinised. Thu4der ban was ok. Nobody will ever miss him. Yet, the Russian ban goes against being a platform and honestly just builds more tension while you cannot influence politics in any meaningful way so the only reason to do it would be because of a principle. Serveme has done an amazing job so far so I hope this is just a 1 time thing.

In Russia's POV NATO is the aggressor and the invasion of Ukraine is just uniting ethnic Russians together. You don't like this or you think it's wrong that's irrelevant as only what Russians think will matter and they will absolutely love the invasion if it goes well (as early polling confirms). Whatever propaganda Putin makes, there is a kernel of truth of NATO threatening the Russian sphere of influence and there is at least some Russian minority in Ukraine. The war can go either way yet Putin was (largely) forced to act like this or Russian influence on neighbouring states would decrease and eventually die when they join NATO. Given that the situation between the West and Russia is already inoperable, invading actually makes a lot of sense.
Anyways, I predict this is just Crimea 2.0

How to fix missing killfeed textures on linux?

Anyone got their hands on a 12th gen Intel CPU? I'm curious about their tf2 benchmarks given their single core performance. I imagine even an i3 should run tf2 very well.

I've had enough on windows 10 and installed pop! OS in 5 minutes. Got tf2 running fairly easily and a benchmark shows similar fps values though tf2 looks better on linux (probably since I couldn't get LOD bias to work). I recommend.
