He's hellbent on improving, and it has shown a lot in the last few months. He hits crazy jumps like it's nothing and then puts rockets in people's faces. Great guy on top of everything else. Pick him up just so you don't have to play against him.

Edit - Pretty much looking only as roamer or scout now. Serious Jedi mind tricks required to make me consider pocket, but I'll consider it with the right team.

Now that I'm done with college, and I've actually got time to put into TF2, I'm looking to get on an open team for S14.

Off the top of my head the only people who have partner with Twitch are Seanbud, Lange, stabbystabby, teamfortresstv, extelevision, maybe truktruk and misterslin, not sure. Only the people that have partner will see any money from Twitch, and even then, Lange has been streaming over a year and has yet to accrue enough ad revenue to get a check. The ads you see on everyone else's streams don't support the streamer.

That being said, I don't block ads on Twitch regardless of who has partner or not. If I can't support the streamer, I'll still support the company. E-sports has exploded in the last few years almost as a direct result of their success.

From what information I can find discussing the project, and Adaptive Bitrate Encoder similar to the one being used for current streams is already in the works.

Basically, H.265 is a new video codec (successor to H.264) that would allow you to stream video at about half the current bitrate requirements. It means 1080p streaming video download would be possible on current mobile connections. It would potentially allow for streaming of 4K video on current broadband speeds. While I'm sure that using the codec takes a lot more CPU than h.264, I hope it's still viable for real-time encoding. The decoder can easily run on current mobile devices.

It's development is pretty much finished and is currently being ratified as a new official standard. I find this to be fucking awesome.

This is blowing all of European TF2's mind right now. They're a tad behind.

A lot of jump maps have wall jumps or wall climbs where you have the option to use either a right or left wall. jump_tholos #3 comes to mind. Some jumps, like the one on 4starters that #9 mentioned, have no option at all and you have to use the left, although you have to be pretty decent already to make it there.

But yeah, jump_tholos #3. That's where I would go. The following video talks about left jumps and shows how it's done on that exact jump.
