#3 Newbie forum? in Site Discussion

Everyone knows that minus frags mean nothing, but it's pretty disheartening for a new person to post a thread only to see that everyone hates it.

#102 What is this montrosity in TF2 General Discussion

I remember playing CoD once on console. I was about to shoot an enemy from across the map when someone else on the enemy team ran past right in front of me. Aim assist was all "OH YOU WANT TO SHOOT THAT GUY RIGHT?" and it dragged my crosshairs halfway across the screen and I missed the shot.

Features like that are great for competitive game.

You can use a macro program instead.

#66 What is this montrosity in TF2 General Discussion

Controllers work fine when playing CoD because weapon damage is so high and player health is so low. Simply dragging your cursor over an enemy player while spraying bullets will get you a kill so there's no need for any real precise aiming. Plus aim assist automatically compensates and makes aiming even easier. And don't forget that ads while looking in the rough direction of an enemy will automatically zoom the sights in onto the head of the enemy player.

All this combines into a game that is very boring and unimpressive to watch compared to something like CPMA, Adrenaline Gamer, TF2, UT, or CS.

#2 Fans running loud in Hardware

Check your temps while playing. Your processor might not have enough thermal paste and is overheating causing your fans to work harder.

If that's not the case, there are programs that let you change the fan speeds and you can set a max rpm that you don't want it to go over.

I like to sit uncomfortably close to other people. Especially if i haven't showered in the last week or two. Don't forget to stare intently at any small children, and to breath heavily.

If you both had the exact same hat then why waste the time trading?

I'm not a tradefag so I don't know these things.

#11 As much as i play in TF2 General Discussion

Pick your fights on flank. If they pressure you, fall back and call that your flank is weak. Hopefully your combo will be able to send enough spam out to push them back.

Tiny ass ledges everywhere that cause my rockets to do 0 damage even though it lands right next to my target.

#199 That was... interesting. The music was decent at times, but I could do without the pig grunting sound effects.

#32 should i even bother? in Q/A Help

I have almost 900 hours on Soldier alone and I still suck.

Just keep at it. Either you will end up a loser with no life who's moderately good at some of the classes in TF2, or you will give up and become a highly successful normal person with a social life, friends, and other enjoyable things.

The choice is yours.
