#12 Bowl lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

^the epitome of his humor

Really good demo. I would vouch he could already play in IM. Very strong DM, and I think demos that comm a lot are very valuable.

but his only downside is, ya know.... his memery....

#70 The State of ESEA-Invite (a nerd essay) in TF2 General Discussion
Getawhalewhat'd I do? I completely agree with your post and proposing Froyo break up is a stupid, stupid answer

I'm not going to leak DMs but what you messaged me last night appeared more discouraging than supportive to our team.

You always post saying how Froyo rolls everybody. You're someone I would consider a friend in some aspect yet you never really shown support, except for when you sponsored my IM and first invite team which was really cool of you. Even then you kinda rooted against us when things looked like they were going sour. You support me personally which I really appreciate, but it's also kind of sad to see you always root for Froyo even if it's indirectly ( like 'wow froyo rolls every season').

I'm going to basically repeat what I told you last night so you can stop reading now if you want, this is mostly for everyone else. Yeah we get rolled, I've been getting rolled (I got 2nd place in all NA leagues within a week timespan). I'm upset at myself for being such an emotional player. I've been having a rough couple of weeks and it clearly showed in my play and especially in my calling. I made the wrong decision to keep trying to open my mouth when I clearly wasn't in the place to do so. This all sucks. Yet I'm going to keep trying. No matter how many times I fall, I will always get right back up. I made promises to many others and to myself that I won't continue to be a quitter, and while TF2 isn't the ideal place to show my personal passion, it's a good start for me. I have fucked up so many times now, and I am going to continue getting fucked up some more. I'm going to get rolled more. No matter how many times this happens, I will continue to try to beat Froyo. I am not going to give up and stop where others before me have stopped.
One day Froyo will be toppled, no matter how long it takes or how minuscule the win will be by then, they will be toppled. While what I'm saying may be mere words without any form of action lately, all I ask is people to believe in me and by further extension my team.

Also to echo what aim said, we are also the ones that got second place. I will continue to be mad at myself for making my team play so sloppy, but even with all of our flaws we still managed to start rolling every team that wasn't Froyo by the end of the season. We also still got 2nd. I'm pretty proud of my team for achieving that, especially while I have been mostly a dead weight this last month.

rongolAt tf2? No fucking point. You're competing with sweaty meatballs who've been honing ther skills in tf2 for literally at least 10 years, playing on fucked up maps that favor certain characters and with lopsided matchups. Your only hope is to play scout or medic, and even still you need to sink hundreds of weeks into seasons to see real improvement.

Extremely lame mindset to have, what's the point of getting into any game?

It's so much easier to get into and improve at modern melee, that it would literally only take a few months of grinding tech skill to catch up to some of the best if you're absolutely trying your best (and abusing all the guides and knowledge currently available). The hardest part would be getting into neutrals, grinding punishes, etc. Yeah it would take a long time to be considered a top player, but to become a decent one? All it takes is a good mindset, the will to admit you make a lot of mistakes, and the motivation to improve. That goes for any game, or almost anything in life.

#817 unpopular tf2 opinions in TF2 General Discussion
GrapeJuiceIIItojo yeah i agree with tojo, catface, soldier has a higher skill ceiling but scout is just such a good class. I would also like to hear you out

Soldier with shotgun I would argue is undeniably the best class in the game (with the human element added in) while also having the highest skill ceiling.

If everyone was perfect and hitting absolutely everything Sniper would def be the best class.

#277 Ban Pred and Degu in Off Topic
Reerosomeone using the n word or saying "tranny" is not them doing their best to harass and ostracize people of certain races, genders, or sexuality from the community.

When I use to play highlander I used to be stalked by two players aliasing as my name, constantly calling me a tranny, and harassing me in my steam comments with their entire circlejerk spamming the same thing to me (still calling me a tranny and to off myself). These are the people who are doing their best to ostracize and trying to remove people from the community, or because they simply think this type of stuff is funny. While we may not be talking about the same people, I know many others who have experienced what I have and it's a very real thing that's gonna continue happening in our small scene.

We now also have two players on the most popular competitive TF2 team insult others personally and both of their excuses so far have been "I don't mean it." We have league admins and admins of third party services who are afraid of banning those who personally attack others because they don't want to risk making the community any smaller. This is driving people away who actually put forth effort into making the community better in favor of those who do nothing for the game. Uberchain has done way more for TF2 than both of these dipshits ever have and ever will. It would be a real shame if all the biggest community members in our scene continue turning a blind eye to all of this out of the simple fear of making the game smaller. I'd personally much rather keep talent like uberchain around over people who have proven to be awful people and have nothing to offer to the scene.

#17 Vods of pyro being used in 6v6 scrims? in TF2 General Discussion
GazNurseyGaz[However, its fucking shit when pushing out of badlands last because u can't get onto spire and if you fall down you can't get back up again.
Detonator.

Yeah really wanna see you make the jump from bridge to bats. If you fall off spire you are done for and your team lost

That jump is easy to do (not with scorch shot). Plus the reward of being able to deny being spammed/bombed on spire is pretty damn good compared to a squishy scout stuck on the point that probably won't even be getting tanked. If a pyro does fall they're still pretty useful on the ground + detonator spam is one of the most annoying things in the game.

Pyro is pretty good for pushing out of choke in gullywash (into mid and from it) and pyro is good for badlands spire when pushing out of last. Any map with tight chokes pyro would actually be pretty decent for pyro, but those two things I'd argue is better for pyro than even the stock classes.

tambothis is the bset armada has ever played

I don't see how it's the best armada has ever played, it really seemed like plup was playing extra awful. Leffen on the other hand has been absolutely insane the whole tournament.

don't undersell your talents, you could easily play invite on at least two classes already.
