No. I would recommend replacing the pads, but that's just a matter of preference and ear size. Mine are fucking massive, so the stock pads were a bit small for me.

My understanding of clouds is that they're fairly heavily based on takstar pro 80's, which is why the audio quality is so good compared to other gaming headsets. If you want a set of headphones just because you want to jump on the "fuck gaming headsets" bandwagon you probably don't need to.
