#22 i58 POV request thread in TF2 General Discussion

Sorry for the delay guys but here are my povs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/j6ox5rcd9a4kw0y/i58%20paulsen%20povs.7z?dl=0

Unfortunately since my first hire PC at i58 exploded, I couldn't retrieve my povs for the first 2 group stage games against Xenex and Froyotech. I've provided the stv for those 2 games instead. Hope that's ok!

#41 i58 Shoutouts Thread in LAN Discussion

Better late then never so here we go! SHOUTOUTS TO:

All the teams we played against. Easily the most fun and intense series of games I have ever played.

The entire production crew for casting all the games and making this entire event possible. Dashner, even though you couldn't make it I genuinely appreciate every opportunity I had to chat with you leading up to the event. Hopefully I can actually meet you some time in the future and buy you that beer.

Nymthae and fiyahstorm for still being so approachable despite all the server problems occurring at the time. Also, for just being generally awesome admins and people.

HUGE shoutout to mal for running our twitter for the entire trip. She did this completely out of her own will and I can't express how much we all appreciated it. So thank you heaps for all your hard work xxxx

- mana, uberchain, davidthewin, suyo, extine, sideshow, nation, raptor, admirable (thanks for letting me lick your head), Bren, maks, boneS
- vani (please bring more of that swedish candy next year), adysky, skeej, hank (I'll fight you next time promise)
- flushy, thaigrr (I still owe you 5 beers LOL), funs, smirre
- thalash, alle, silentes (nicest guy of the lan VoHiYo), kos
- raymon, kaptain, hafficool and the rest of crowns. I really wish we had more opportunities to play each other!
- freestate, phorofor, paddie, muma (dave & muma otp <3), and my long lost twins TLR and b4nny (thanks for the massage b4nny)
- shintaz and coleman (thank you for introducing me to the funnest drinking game I have ever played)
- mattCV (miss you already m8 and dw as far as I'm concerned, I'll always be single for you)
- samski YA DUMB CUNT
- samiface you're awesome (I just wish I had listened to you earlier regarding how horrible budweiser is)
- dreamboat you fucking beautiful man. Best coach any team could ask for. I look forward to more of your back massages

SHOUTOUT TO THE LEGENDS THAT BOUGHT US OUR SLAB OF BEER CONSOLATION PRIZE

I made so many amazing new friends while I was there so I apologize if I missed anyone... there were so many!

And finally, on behalf of the team I'd just like to say thank you all so much for possibly one of the best weekends of our lives. We did not come into this expecting to have such an amazing time as we did. The whole LAN experience was unforgettable and because of that I think it's highly likely this won't be the last time we saw you all. i61 hype...

#119 Official Jasmine Tea i58 Fundraiser in TF2 General Discussion

Well the Indiegogo campaign has finally ended with the community managing to raise an astonishing $5,540 USD! With the extra money given to us privately, we not only met but surpassed our goal. The generosity that the global tf2 community has shown has been truly overwhelming, and on behalf of everybody in the team I'd like to extend a very humble thank you to everyone who donated.

For those of you who ordered the VIP scrim access perk with your donation, I will be sending an email to each of you in the next day or so with the relevant instructions and mumble details in order to claim this perk.

For everyone who ordered the item signing perk, I will also be sending an email to get in contact with you. This will be carried out after i58 once the team has returned back home to Australia.

Once again, thank you to everyone so much for all the support and donations. With our flights having been booked and accommodation almost finalized, we have every intention of fulfilling our promise of making i58 one of the best competitions in TF2 history!

Woof.

Geel has set up a scrap.tf donation drive for us where you can donate items instead of money! https://scrap.tf/fundraiser/TEAI58

I'll update the OP to include this new way to donate.

#99 Official Jasmine Tea i58 Fundraiser in TF2 General Discussion

I'd like to point out that the majority of people commenting on this thread about this recent development aren't even in the team and don't necessarily reflect how we feel about it.

When we were first approached with the idea of coaches being allowed I said we were personally against it. The main issue we had with the whole thing was the short notice/cost issues, not the principle behind it. If this decision had been made months before the competition then none of this conflict would have ever arose.

That being said, I feel like this is being blown way out of proportion at this point. Once the decision had been made we were a little bummed out yes, but we were always willing to put up with the consequences. This includes not being able to afford using a coach we know and trust at the event.

We'll just install viruses on the other teams PCs or something to level the playing field anyways 8)

#162 TF2 Blog: "The Meet Your Match Update is Coming" in TF2 General Discussion
Sam_FSHey what if we arranged some kind of showmatch with pro teams using the reworked or new weapons as a way of drawing attention to the comp scene, it could also be used to teach newer players how the weapons are used effectively

#37 Official Jasmine Tea i58 Fundraiser in TF2 General Discussion

Good news! Some of our team members have recently received some private funding from our parents/friends to be used purely for the trip. This means we're able to reduce our required goal! I've updated the OP to explain this in more detail.

If anyone is interested in donating, I’ve made a formal post about the fundraiser (which can be found here) explaining the nuances of the endeavour.

Any support would be immensely helpful and greatly appreciated by all of us :)

camperI wish I could donate but unfortunately I can't because I'm a poor student, instead I made this quick team logo for you guys, hope you like it!

RadioactiveNinjaI was bored and decided to make a jasmine tea poster. Turned out alright I think.

Also, camper's logo looks amazing. I couldn't resist using it :3

Also I may have gotten some of the loadouts wrong because I was eyeballing them from casts. Sorry about that.

I can't express enough how much we appreciate receiving stuff like this from the community. In the last 24 hours we've received so much support in the form of logos, extra publicity, offers for jerseys and even potential sponsors. Was not prepared for this level of enthusiasm.

Also, camper your design is amazing. Definitely our lead candidate for an official logo so far.

(Screw Virtus Pro, they can get a new logo)
