I just had my first UGC HL Steel match on Lakeside not too long ago. Somehow through a strange turn of events involving messed up servers and ringer shenanigans, I ended up having to play Soldier rather than my main (Engineer). And somehow we ended up not only winning, but rolling the other team without losing a round.
Went way differently than I expected my first official match to go, but hey, I had fun and got a med drop :>.

I realize it's not helpful, but I am also having the same problem.
ProdigyIt won't even let me open TF2. It gets to the loading screen then closes with no message or anything. GG Valve.
It might be caused by your HUD, have you tried uninstalling it and starting up your game?
Once again, I honestly feel someone can do these better, but here ya go.
I especially feel like someone can do this one better, I found it surprisingly difficult to find a fitting hat
I apologize before hand for the most likely unsatisfactory "festivizations". Let the deity of santa hats, Shitwizard, do a far better job.
ompPeteTehHitmanHey Omp, I was wondering if you could possibly implement backpack navigation hot keys such as these:I'm probably not going to be able to work on anything for a bit, so I'll consider it over my break. In any case, a little secret for you: unless I remove any files, which I don't see myself doing anytime soon, you can simply overwrite your resources/ and scripts/ folders with the new ones, which should leave any files you've added intact.
Oh Yeah! I'm so used to completely re-doing personal touches in the HUD, what with personal crosshairs all. Thanks for that little tip. And no worries; I more or less just wanted to be sure that you were aware that something such as that exists.
Thanks for the quick and helpful response, I truly do appreciate it.

It's really not a big deal, but it's something I find myself having to re-implement every time you update the HUD because I find it very convenient while using the backpack. But like I said, it's really not a big deal to do, so if you feel that it's something you wouldn't like to include, I understand.
Also, I have a reference file that includes these navigation buttons if it turns out you are interested:

(I placed this file in a folder called "econ" in the resources folder; although I'm not sure if this is necessary, I haven't tested it without it)
Roololdunno if this was posted before but i found this hud

Woah, how'd you find my hud? It's still a work in progress, thus the version number being less than 1. But that's still cool.
