If you wanna get the lab out and make some more rigid tests go wild but the reality of the situation is that crouching makes you go further, so much so that it does not really need more than one example to show it off.

How can people simultaneously play pubs just for a bit of random fun and also care about dying to a random crit?

Surely the only reason you would care is because it hurts your ego to lose to someone worse than you?

From where I'm standing it looks like the only people who care about random crits are the people who have outgrown pubs and are looking for a reason that they aren't fun anymore.

Hard disagree on the banners, you're phrasing it in such a way to make it sound shit but you can say the same thing about uber/kritz. "What does a medic healing a player so as to be able to go all shiny really add to the experience of playing competitive TF2 besides the momentary joy of doing something silly?" The banners would be crazy cool mechanics if you could wear them at the same time as gunboats or if you spawned with them nearly charged.

There are for sure weapons that are dumb in concept and will never be good in tf2 and I can see why you would want to remove them but the banners are really solid conceptually even if they are currently underwhelming to play with/against.

The mid is an awkward one really, it seems to be working but takes some getting used to. There are some changes in a7 though, they seem to be mostly positive from the games we played last night. The map being soldier centric is intentional but I have made some of the platforms on 2nd accessible for all classes now. Yeah turns out you can stand ontop of the clipping I put on the doors to stop people from standing ontop of the doors, will be fixed in a8.
