i've used 8.1 for forever and i recommend a registry clean, if not then a windows reset but saving files, last but not least a factory reset after backing up your stuff.

I live around Pittsburgh and I've been having the same exact problem with Xfinity. At first they said it was a router issue and were going to send out a tech. An hour before the tech came they called and said it was a local service issue and that they were cancelling the tech. The problem went away for a day or two then resumed. Im having another tech come out Monday with a new router and ill LYK if that solves the issue. Xfinity has god awful routers (I've had mine replaced 4+ times) so its possible that's the issue even if the symptoms arent right. I am a fan of p2p and other types of behaviors not endorsed by my ISP, so I'm under the impression I might just be getting throttled. LMK what you're ISP is and whether you're service is actually dropping according to your ISP.

So ive started getting random syncopated spikes after removing a trojan. I used multiple AV programs and a registry cleaner. I also got my ISP to confirm I'm not being throttled and cleaned my PC. I pinged and ran a tracert and it seems that im getting random hops to 200 ms every 20 attempts for only a single ping then it drops again. I really dont want to reformat. Is there anything else anyone can think of (/could it still be the trojan)

If anyone can find it Kaidus talked about this in regards to ETF2L. Basically stating how so many maps now are process clones. I think most of the antipathy towards new maps is simply the learning curve. If the map pool was more diverse it could lead to upsets and this is what people are trying to avoid looking forward at their schedules. Trying to introduce players to new maps through Pugchamp has proven to be ineffective for this very reason. I think it would end up having to be a forced decision by an admins who really had a decent understanding of the maps themselves.
