I'm tired of the PUB play & looking to play some competitive 6v6 (maybe HL, later). straight up front I'm a "newbie to competitive TF2. I played last Saturday during the Newbie mix & it definitely fueled my desire to play 6v6.

I have no Demo to show since I haven't really played competitive & doubt that any demo of PUB would be of any help to anyone.

So if any one out there cares to help out some one with a desire to learn Competitive Medic craft hit me up

Guess I should add, I've got less the 500 hours in TF2 & I'm CST time Zone

So I've made this script for fun while I'm in pubs. But my issue with it is if I'm using the mini gun (which let face it is most of the time I have to stop firing or spinning the mini gun, count to 2 then press my "f" key with will bring up the sandvich & toss it & switch back to the mini gun.

But I can figure out how to get over the spin time issue, any help would be a pprecitated

Interesting, 'cuz many others have told me that http://www.tf2lobby.com is kind of a rough place for some one looking to start competitive play. Which has left me with the question of where the hell goes a "newbie" to competitive play go to get past being a newbie? It's not like the mixes sponsored here go on daily

I've been doing that since I started in Nov. ( which is how I usually go about theses types of thing_ but for what ever reason it hasn't panned out. So I joined my current clan in the hopes of changing that and well ....

More then aware of this, I've played other competitive games before just not TF2. The old saying is "you have to learn to crwal before you run"

So I'm looking to join a different clan for TF2 then the one I am currently in
(posted here 'cuz it's not really a "mentoring" post).
The clan I'm currently in has some really friendly people, some very nice servers & do all types of "events", but in the long run I'm not really getting what I want from a clan.

What I'm looking for is a some what mature clan, with their own servers (preferably). One that has a willingness to work together in PUBS (not looking for team stacking) & to be willing to mentor if asked (but since there's mentoring here is would just be a nice addition).

I'm hoping to join in on some competitive TF2 (tonight will be my 1st Newbie mixer so we shall see if that hope is realistic or not).

So ...

I'll plan on joining in around 6:30 CST. And maybe hop back in closer to "closing time" to se if any after action will be happening.

Do you have to be a member here to join?
I have a friend whom might have an interest. He's not sure yet it Comp TF2 would be his this.

Also what "class" is most needed, as in needs more people playing that class to fill a team?

To be straight out honest I'm just looking to get my feet wet in comp TF2 (pubing is getting old). I've only been playing TF2 for a few months so.
In the old days I played competitive Quake & UT but that doesn't help much for TF2. Generally I'd find a clan or friends and go from there but sadly my clan isn't meeting my needs ( need to find a new one) & my friends list is very small.

I did sign-up for the newbie mix steam group, but have not seen any announcement & I always on line @ those times, so have they just not been happening?

Is the a Sticky guide for Comp beginners any where? I'd really like to start playing TF2 in something besides PUBs & am trying to figure out how to get started in here.

So any "details" would be appreciated
