skyrideUGC has always bothered me as a league. Like every other league in TF2 was just founded by people who'd played other games competitive or even been involved with leagues in those games, so you've had this progression and inheritance of rules, best practices, standards, etc. There are reasonable expectations and the way that things should be dealt with is known.
UGC has always just seemed like "hurr durr we like hl sign up on our websit plz".

Remaking this thread cause my priorities have changed.
I'm looking for an IM or High Open team to medic for, I have two seasons of, made playoffs on the first and the team was on track to playoffs, but died just prior to. I put in a lot of time outside of the game though, watching Invite/IM players and watching demos. Ready to scrim 5 nights a week, plus put in tons of hours outside of team stuff. Add me on steam if you want to talk about trying out.
Also would be willing to soldier on an open team of pretty much any level. I haven't played in open as soldier, but I have lead a team in UGC (to teach other people) for 2 seasons as pocket and could probably play in open easily.

Besides brosel and knhud I would ask Blurr for his hud, if I didn't suck broselhud dick like a golfball through a garden hose, I would use his. Its the least obnoxious in what I consider "that" vein of huds.
