So today randomly I started getting this lighting bug. I'm not sure if has to do with the new As mge lightning. I was just wondering if anyone would know what setting might cause this. It doesn't happen to my friend but it happened to me on 2 different configs.

It just switches between being this dark and very bright.

Tell your UGC friends to play open. If they care about improving it's the fastest way to do so. I've mentored several UGC players and every time I tell them to play ESEA their reaction is usually, "Am I good enough to play ESEA?" Yes, everyone is, that is why the league is open to all. Maybe if we try to stomp out that misconception this season we can get IM back.
extracrispyi respect making an entrepreneurial dive and wanting to support tf2, but if you want to impress your bosses and help grow the company you work for, then with all do respect, tf2 is a terrible investment. i mean if generating revenue is your goal, tf2 just doesnt have the numbers for it to be good business. maybe if your goal is exposure and a way to get your foot in the door as an org it could work, but even then tf2 seems like a sub optimal place to start.
Our goal as of right now is not to immediately turn a profit. I think that would be unrealistic. Our goal right now is to as you said, gain exposure. At some point I think it is possible to pivot into a place where we could make money but for the time being its about the clout. That's another reason I chose tf2. It wasn't completely because I'm biased. I watched the warm reception that the new orgs got and I knew how appreciative the community was of its sponsors. That's why tf2 right now. Down the line we might branch out to something with more financial viability. But TF2 is where we start :)
SekiThere's a big difference between being sponsoring a team and being the team's brand. I.e. Steelseries sponsors EG, but players like Arteezy and Fear play under the EG brand. If you're looking to be the brand, the #1 thing TF2 teams want their sponsors to do is help pay their way to LANs. I'm really happy that teams like Froyo, Ascent, and even SVIFT have started becoming more cohesive brands lately; Hopefully your project turns into something like that :D
That's definitely something that could happen in the near future. We're trying to not get in over our heads financially so if we have a faint gaming situation and have the team die half way into the season we aren't completely screwed. But if we get what we feel is a good team and it seems like they will stick together and they do well it is not out of the question to send them to a LAN.

It would take a while to explain. It's a very unique job where we basically do a bit of everything and I am afforded some creative freedom like suggesting products to sell or in this case, an eSports org.

I went to a business lunch with my bosses today to talk about a bunch of other things that we’re working on. I mentioned to them that eSports is becoming an increasingly more viable business and long story short they decided to take a chance with me and with us.
They are going to invest in me to start an eSports company and I am in turn investing in you, the TF2 community. So starting next season I will be looking to sponsor an invite team as our first competitive team as well as whatever team I am playing on. I’ll be able to pay the league fees and premiums for the players. I don’t know what the companies name will be yet because it takes me a long time to think of names.

I've hear people say that you seem like you have a huge ego. I was always shocked by this because I've known you for a bit and I never thought that was the case at all. But you gotta realize that more people are going to interact with you in pugs than the 5 other people on your team. ya know. Love ya bud.
Update. Phantom is going to play with us next season so we wont need a med. We are currently looking for another scout and a demo or pocket. The primary thing that we are missing is a maincaller. The other thing is I intend on this being our last season of open. I plan on taking this roster to invite after next season when we will hopefully be more ready. Please be honest with yourself before adding and ask yourself if you think you will be invite ready after next season.
TLDR; We need a scout and demo, preferably a maincaller.
