LicorLet me put this as clearly as I can. Spending money to get higher stats with runes that people can't get as easily without spending money is paying for an advantage, you can't change that fact.

You are making it sound like you need to spend months of playing to acquire those same runes, whilst in reality it takes a week, literally a week to get them - and even that if you really want them. I've played without runes for the first year because I couldn't be arsed learning them, until my RL friend did a tutorial for me. They do make a difference in a close battle, but I wouldn't call them game changing, nor would I call LoL a P2W game because one guy got them a week before me.

You can buy all the champions in the game, but it's still going to take you a lot of time to master even a third of them. You can have all the champions, it matters little and it doesn't affect your gameplay. If you have a pool of 100 champions and you know how to play with 10 of them, having another 90 won't help you in your game because you have no experience with them. A blind man is a blind man, no matter how many walking sticks you give him.

The ONLY benefit I can see, for someone who has money, is that you can acquire those runes literally a ten day or so before the player who started without the money. If that makes League a P2W game I might be living on a wrong planet then.

Idk man maybe I suck at LoL and maybe I have a wrong perspective, but I've seen some P2W games and League is nowhere near it. Peace, over & out.

I think we are talking about two different approaches to the game - one where you spent a year playing normal games, like I did, and the other one where you rush 30 and then you start playing ranked. I am fairly certain even the community + RIOT warn you that is not the best road as you are still quite new to the game, and still learning basics like positioning and general champ and map knowledge.

If you rush to 30 and then get confused at why you don't have enough resources to play ranked on-pair with a guy who is in the game longer then you, it doesn't make LoL a P2W game because the advantage the other player acquired is something he did with his personal time and skill - not money.

If you are trying to hop overnight to a level (and # of champs) of a player who is playing the game 11 months more then you do, of course you CAN chuck in some money into the game. It's completely up to you, and even that will not make you any better then another player. You can have 100 champs unlocked, if you know how to play well with 5 of them, even if they are meta champs atm, you are going to have a hard time.

Licor, no offence man, but I think you are really understand what a P2W game is.

League of Legends is not that kind of game - it does sell a lot of things, but not a single one of them is making you stronger when compared to another player. If I am being completely honest, I always felt DOTA is fucking attacking me with it's items and store capabilities whilst LoL barely makes any marketing in-game.

LoL does offer you IP boosts, but that's for lazy people not wishing to play a few days more to get to 10000 IP or w/e. Runes can be made with literally less then one week of gaming (depending how much free time you have) and like you said, you don't need to cash for that. Champions are being bought for virtual points you acquire with gaming itself, how is that P2W? In (I think) 3-4 years of playing LoL, I've never ever bought a champion with real money.

There is not a single thing you can buy in LoL that will give you an unfair advantage over your opponent.

The only thing I think might get people pissed off, is when they create smurf accs and then get mad because they don't have the same amount of champions and runes like they do on their old main accounts. I guess it's a way of countering smurf accounts.

LoL is NOT a p2w game. Just because you can buy runes and various cosmetic stuff doesn't mean you are getting any advantage, apart from saving yourself a week of playing. I am playing LoL for a few years now, and I think I've spent like 20 dollars so far, and even that was purely for skins. With every game you get influence points, and with them you can buy stuff like runes. From my experience, it's enough to have around 10k IP to get things like that, and you get that amount fairly fast.

The meta is not a brick in the wall, it's changing all the time. I remember Ashe being played on mid, today I see Alistar top, blitz + tresh on bottom, blitz and azir in jungle, Mundo as support etc. However, people who do try to change meta end up being flamed a lot, which is really shitty because new stuff might work.

I recommend to start playing with Support as it might be a bit more easier at start. Play some games with bots first, just to get a general feeling on the game.

Nice work man, I'm seriously impressed by every one of those pics. Glad to see you have something occupying your mind, instead of that shit that you used (or used you).

Any chance I could see your stuff on a t-shirt?
