MasterKuniWhy, specifically, don't you want to use a USB mic? Your only other real option is getting an XLR mic, at which point you'd need to spend $100-150 alone on an audio interface (which itself would probably use USB or *maybe* PCI-express).
Running other devices over USB causes input lag and polling rate inconsistency. The only thing i have plugged over USB rite now is my mouse.
I was thinking of getting a pcie USB card to run a mic/dac.

Underclock it to 1600 and get the timings as tight as you can for best mouse responsiveness.
You should be able to hit 7-8-7-24 with decent memory.
I am looking for a high quality mic for streaming that doesn't use a USB port. Any recommendations?
Budget is 150$.
PhunkWhy does everyone hate raidmax power supplies? I bought mine 2 years ago unknowingly, and after finding out their bad rep about a year later annd got it tested for all sorts of issues and it hasn't had any until then or since. It has just been a good deal. Perhaps I am just fortunate.
Because cheap PSUs have a bad habit of blowing up after a few years and provide dirty power that can damage components. When PSUs go they also tend to take other parts with them. I wouldn't risk a $800+ machine on a 50$ PSU.
Overly analytical but a genuinely nice guy and good player.
Max is a bretty cool guy.
Knuckle's has sick DM.
Best of luck.

I help run a pub server and we tried this originally and it did not and will not ever work. One of the most appealing things to people that are new to the game are the random crits.
Random crits allow for someone that is new and terrible at the game to get a chance of beating someone that is better than them. Without random crits people that have never played a game like TF2 will get beat so badly that they will just quit without giving it a chance.
It didn't work out because your server has no access to quickplay. The vast majority of pub traffic goes though quickplay. I have seen many good public servers with class limits and no random crits/spread that where populated DIE after the quickplay feature was added.
LazyPandajust so we can get a 6v6 lobby system in the game
6v6 lobbies in-game would be dumb as hell without some MAJOR documentation and changing of the public mindset. Puting pubers in a 6v6 without them having any idea how 6v6 is played would be disastrous. Lets all be honest here the vast majority of pubers dont even know the basic game mechanics that make 6v6 work.
Honestly why does Robbin want the competitive scene to be more like pubs? Does he even play his own game? Really he should be trying to make the pub scene more like competitive not the other way around. Simple things that would make pubing allot better and massively raise the skill level of the entire community...

BentomatAfter seeing the sticky launcher banned consistently, Valve would nerf it and you would have fewer problems with the demo class.
Simply nerfing demo wont do anything but lower the demos skill ceiling. The reason 2 is not aloud is because spam crossing spam covers demos weaknesses and 2 demomen allows you to lock out 2 chokes.
Also by the same logic you should nerf medic which his also just dumb.
kawaiipine_beetleBut if they made an esea open, im, and invite badges a lot more people would play just because of that.soon enough, our inventories would be full due to medals

Roycepine_beetleBut if they made an esea open, im, and invite badges a lot more people would play just because of that.Valve doesn't make medals. All they do is take medals that have already been modeled and put them into the game. They don't even do it just for highlander. Those stupid pan tournaments have in game medals.
I am certain someone in the community would be willing to make medals every season for freemium.
FUND IT
Really if you want to be closer to pubs without basically ruining the game 7v7 with current rules is the only way to go.
for the following reasons...
Extra slot for offclassing
not having to offclass your soldiers means you have the extra spam power to deal with heavys faster.
nobody would need to be cut
can actually push off of last
