KipWhen I first started, I solicited the advice of eXtv members, combined them and added some of my own tips. Here's my casting guide. It has tips about talking, camera angles, and I think what you're looking for.
Good luck!
I remember having seen that file some years ago but shrugged it off at the time, thanks a lot!
@slideezy
Appreciate the conduct, it really is the truth what you are saying and I have experienced a lot of times when other casters tried exactly that what you we're describing, thanks :).
@Ryushi
Yeah, it really is important to not get taken over by the comments and hate, thanks for the reminder.
@Slideshow
I'd like to start of doing post-produced casts, doing the camera work and shoutcasting at the same time.
After a while I would either try and cast alongside someone or be on the camera, because like you said, Jon is really the only guy who is on the camera and it wouldn't hurt to have someone else who could step in.
What I am basically trying to do right now is trying to build a solid foundation on how to do everything casting related, afterwards I'll delve into one aspect and completely focus on it.
Alright, technical side is covered now, just need to set up everything.
Thanks :D.
Hello fellow TF2 players, for a while now I was thinking about casting matches since it seems to me that there is literally only one decent caster in Europe and I want to personally change that.
However, I don't know how to get started or get into it.
I would need someone who could guide me and give me tips on what I need to pick up while casting; filling gaps when nothing is happening, where to put the camera in certain situations, how do I set up everything so it doesn't look like a mess? That kind of stuff.
After that of course, I would upload my own post-produced cast and ask for feedback again and try to get "good" at casting as soon as possible.
I would appreciate any kind of help, especially from people that have casted or are casting, whatever game it might be.
Splendid got this.
Where is relic? Is he still playing?
Thank you for making me aware of this; I would gladly play this with 3 other dudes, just PM me I guess.
