How do you benchmark your tf2 fps? I'm trying to see if i'll get more with -default or with maxframes and the nohats mod and running around servers while staring at net_graph 1 isn't very accurate or scientific lol

People joke about cancer, aids, autism, handicaps, ww2, 9/11, ISIS, everything. It's a good way to cope with everyday stress.

Obviously, joking about 9/11 with someone that lost a parent there is a dick move, but everything can be a dick move if you're with the wrong people. For every joke in the world, there is a person who has lived through it and would get (rightfully) offended, and I really don't see the reason not to joke about it unless that specific person is around.

I like simple huds that focus on the UI rather than menus and shiny things. Centered numbers, easy to read fonts, not a lot of eye candy. I love the old garm3n huds, broeselhud, flathud.

I find newer, shinier huds hard to read and get used to ingame (ahud, etc).
Having a cool looking main menu is always a plus but it doesn't make much difference.

I'm currently using the flathud ingame ui, the broeselhud class switch (really small simple non obtrusive window) with the main menu/inventory from another, little known hud (hexedition something).

http://imgur.com/a/lXYdQ As you can see, I have the health cross disabled (pointless eyecandy) and the main menu allows visibility even when you press esc because all the elements are on the edges. The class/team switch menus are small and don't bother you too much either. The health and ammo are easy to read. My scoreboard glitched out after one of the updates so i'm using the default one right now, but normally i like having a transparent one (at least 85-90% transparent) so it doesn't impair my vision when I'm spamming tab.

Just look at the map timer when their med spawns and subtract 45-50 secs. Boom, uber timed.

Basically, I've got a 15 Mb/s connection. I'm using an ethernet cable from the router to my PC and my flatmates are using WiFi. Sometimes when they're downloading HD gay gangbang porn or w/e it is that they do, I get ping spikes ingame.

So is there any way to restrict the bandwidth that they can use? Say, 10 Mb/s on the LAN cable and 5 Mb/s on the Wifi.
