I managed to play 4 games in which one guy left prematurely and after that I was asked for a matchmaking pass :(

When Finland won the first two nation's cups and was considered undoubtedly the best country in Europe.
:(
sourceif badlands is the de_dust2 of tf2, what is dustbowl?
Office? Popular map in pubs, different gamemode than the competitive scene uses and is shit in competitive.
Every time someone gets un-vacced the more I start to believe people's "HE'S SUCH A NICE GUY I SAW HIM AT LAN" arguments :(
Rhettrothat's really dumb, you're saying demomen aren't useful if they aren't good???
Quite the opposite in lower levels. But that's not what I was talking about.
Nuseman ????? I was being genuine
sry man I was only joking :)
I should use more Kappas here I guess
NusemanYeah I'd agree with you completely then. Isn't it nice when two people on this thread agree on something.
Fuck you
NusemanSetlet Demo's impact in game is pretty lowWhile I agree with this, saying that theres not much more you can do when you are talking about every demo except kaidus is just wrong. There is plenty room for improvement for most of the demos in prem, and its just a matter of applying their skill set in a different manner to how they are used to. Since the sticky nerf and the evolution of the meta to the current scout-heavy style, demomen should play a much more supportive heal efficient role to maximise their effect and enable their team. Take a look at how duwatna played with froyo, and compare it to how numlocked played in i49 epsi, there's a huge disparity in the how heal efficient they were within those teams, but they were both the best demos in the game at the time of their peaks. IMO kaidus is the only demo in a top team atm (probably termo as well but I haven't been paying much attention to the AU scene so I can't say that with confidence) that has the mechanics and decision making to play a more heal heavy leading demo and have it work within the dynamic of his players.
You bring up some good points and while I agree with you, it all comes back to this:
SetletDemo's impact in game is pretty low
. I think you can get better in all aspects of the game, but because demo's impact is still low, you don't really make your team win more by suddenly getting better in positioning for example. I never said that kaidus made his team win more than other demos because he was a better aimer or positioner (that's what you were implying?). I was meant to say that because he maincalls/affects the team's decisions in such a big way, he is way better skilled than any other player in prem and thus has more impact, but that's not because of being demo itself. I should have said "Kaidus is a better player than any other demo in prem" instead.
NusemanI think it is fair to say iikq hasn't been a big impact player for PlanEx so far, but he definitely has the skill set to be able to do so, and that is the case for pretty much every demo in prem, like I said, its a matter of how they apply their skill set within the dynamic of their team.
Well I don't think any other team has a big impact demo either, except for NerdRage for the reasons I mentioned. Iikq can improve, but iikq being suddenly the best player in the whole universe wont make PlanEx win, so won't the "new demos" people bring up here to replace him.
Every demo except kaidus is the same in skill in EU. Replacing iikq would do nothing. Demo's impact in game is pretty low and if you do your job correctly, there's not much you can do anymore. And iikq does his job well. It would be illadviced to bring these "new school superstar prodigys" demos to PlanEx as their knowledge on how to play against very good scouts and roamers is limited. It will take a season at least to know your place in the game. Pickups and mixes mean nothing and only make you too confident and too aggressive.
pls kick iikq and take me Kappa
E: Also, I think spudd is exceptionally good at this game.
EE: Damn I forgot Spary as well sry :(

I suggest listening to any old NHL soundtracks (not sure about the newer ones). They have songs from various artists, 90% of them being punk pop.
NHL 2004 is my personal favourite soundtrack.
Instead of banning or nerfing the loose cannon, nerf the scout so demomen could actually be more aggressive and use pipes instead.
