#3 This year of newcomer players was the best in TF2 General Discussion

Yeah invite may have been kind of a dumpster fire this season but it seems like every other div saw huge growth this season, really good for the scene in general even if some of it is because people are stuck at home

#5 Mixchamp revival with a ping for pugs discord in TF2 General Discussion

if there's a way to set the site up such that people can still captain and pick teams but the site autopicks if all other roles besides captain are filled for a set amount of time, I think that would satisfy everyone tbh. Best of both worlds

#2 Mixchamp revival with a ping for pugs discord in TF2 General Discussion

Is the auto-picked teams feature back? A lot of PUGs died in the last iteration of mixchamp because of not having enough captains or terrible/inexperienced captains and having the autopick system helps with that issue while speeding up the process of starting a PUG significantly.

#4 Is it possible to make ragdolls deterministic? in Videos

If you want that level of control it might be worth importing your demos to SFM, antlers made a good tutorial on it: https://www.teamfortress.tv/55199/recording-tf2-demos-for-use-in-sfm-tutorial#1

#18 Melee Rollback Netcode in Other Games
tojoIf anyone in the thread is really pressed on finding an affordable gc controller you know will work, I could link u to this store website and you could have them ship you one (I imagine)

I'll gladly take you up on that offer if you have a local store with first-party or Hori controllers available that you want to support, would be much easier than trying to scavenge for one myself.

Don't worry! Universal Controller Fix has been baked into the new Slippi launcher so you don't even need to worry about getting a super good controller, I play on a smash ultimate one I got brand new on release and with UCF I can hit all my shield drops and execute techskill.

do you think the Switch Pro Controller would function with UCF + this online netcode (I have a Pro controller already)? Can you play Melee through your PC via an emulator in the year 2020? I'm sure there's a whole lot of compatability shit the community has come up with but I don't pay super close attention to the scene

wtf that's actually insane

only excuse I have left now for not playing melee is lack of a good controller

#4 Can I record lawena with shadowplay? in Q/A Help

I made a tutorial recently covering how to use Lawena and AVIRecorder together as I've also noticed a lack of good guides out there atm, here it is - https://youtu.be/d5oYFrrNDpQ - This covers how to use them together for an efficient workflow but IIRC you can use AVIRecorder by itself if Lawena is totally f'd up on your computer for some reason.

It's also worth taking a look at ryukbot for recording demos, though I haven't tried that myself.
