Big joshuawn. Was looking for something like this when i switched back to default crosshairs, I'm hoping to be able to get an outline again, seeing as I tend to lose my crosshairs on some maps.

Upgrade or not

If memory serves, source games are CPU intensive, so I'd go with upgrading that first. I had an AMD FX-4100 for a while and I was able to get 120 fps with a $90 GPU, forget which one it was.
But if you can split the price of the 750ti and upgrade both CPU and GPU that might be your best bet, but I'd stick with upgrading the CPU as top priority.

Razer Deathadder Chroma Problems

I'm not too sure if its a mouse problem, I have one of the older Deathadders and have never experienced that, have you tried other USB ports on your computer? Maybe the one you're using is just faulty, I'd also check for dust in the ports, just to be sure.
If that still fails the mouse could just be faulty, so I'd go for an RMA if possible.
