You need a timelimit of some sort in order to run cups or tournaments without the schedule being fucked, whether that's timelimit 60 for NA or timelimit 30 for EU. As the time goes down this is gonna be a valid strat. It's not unsportsmanlike, it's part of the game and something you should add to your repertoire.

ZOWIE 16 cup for a few mice got 17 signups within 24 hours. I can only assume this is people falling at the first hurdle of being arsed to sign up on Razer Arena. Going to go bother these teams, if you know a High team then please bother them as well, it takes 5 minutes to sign up.

flamehow is the system broken if its been in place for multiple seasons?
players being ignorant or lazy doesnt make the system bad.
a year is harsh punishment, but youre acting like they had no idea it was coming or that it was a rule lol.
This broken system has been in place for multiple seasons and gets complained about every time it has an effect. The length of time it has been in place has no effect on whether it's good or bad.
They did have no idea it was coming, because they failed to notify the players properly, and they chose an arbitrary length for the punishment which is mentioned nowhere in the rules.

eeeSideshowGunboats are not a game-changing unlock because you can go around speedshotting and treating things like a jump map.Being good for the game isn't the same as being a well designed weapon tho. Gunboats are well designed AND add to the game. Just because the Booties are a bad weapon doesn't mean they're bad for the game. Something can be OP (EP) or niche af (Conch) and still make the game more fun and interesting, but the idea should be to make weapons that both expand what the class can do with skill and allow the class to close holes in the game that are causing stalemates or unpleasant gameplay. Obviously not every weapon fits both criteria, the Basher isn't a hard weapon to use, and the winger doesn't change the game significantly, but hitting at least one of those is really important in making a weapon that works for 6s
They're a game-changing unlock because they make every normal rocket-jump far less damaging, letting you jump without being tethered to a medic and letting you move around the map more quickly. It's not an unlock that you have to be skillful to use.
Booties don't create a shift in the demoman class the way the gunboats do. They're not game-changing, and that's strike 1. Strike 2 is they're overpowered. 3 is they're less skill indexed and lower the skill ceiling of the class. Sorry that I didn't really complete that thought earlier but it was mostly a response to like a 3 month old post talking about them being shitty weapons, not shitty for the game.

sheepy_dogs_handgood lord sorex is an actual mong he has already been banned like 5 times for not uploading demos how can you still forget. it sucks cause hes actually one of the best scouts in tf2.
also sideshow you do get an email and i think even the whole team gets an email along with it being on the match page. they need to give a punishment because if there wasnt one then cheaters could just cheat and not upload their demos so they dont get caught.
Those emails are easily ignored and there's no notice on the site etc. I understand they have to have a punishment but the length of this sort of ban should be 6 months MAX, that's two seasons and kills your team already without being totally ridiculous.

A year is awful, that's an insane punishment especially since the demo requests on etf2l are not clear at all and often weeks or months after the demos were created. Hope LEGO stick around and play cups/LANs instead of ETF2L.
