The only positive from this is that two wrongs have accidentally made a right.

1st Wrong: You drop uber% on death.
2nd Wrong: You can't change weapons except in a clumsy retarded way.

The Right: it's actually quite hard to take two mediguns with you over any distance. This means that to use 2 ubers you have to use the first one in, trade ubers, then retreat back to your other medigun and use in again. It's perfectly viable and actually might prevent this snowballing we're talking about, but in some situations it means it's better to stalemate and build 2 ubers instead of pushing with a small advantage on 1 uber. What a time to be alive.

It just makes milking the uber or holding during a force a really bad move. One wrong step and your team has lost the round, not just a cp or two.

You can argue that this raises the skill ceiling but in actuality all it does is make medics more likely to bitch pop. Makes roamers' lives easier, makes medic less fun and interesting, and makes countering a sniper much harder.

omnificUnless I've subconsiously learned to ctap over a 24 hour period, this shouldn't be possible. This video was taken 10 minutes ago, as soon as i realized that I'd get downfragged if i didn't show evidence. This video was taken after the update on July 3rd, 2015, at around 10:45 EST and shows that there is no change between the current state of the game and the state of the game after the update on July 2nd, 2015

Just tried it, it is fixed but you seem to be able to go a little bit further...it's still very possible to fail that jump, but now you only need a good crouch jump to get there instead of a perfect one. You never actually needed a ctap for it, only a really good crouch jump.

Yeah we just tested it, it's now broken. It was good before! But now it's fucked. Dropping uber now gives the enemy team a full uber to push with, and if you kill a med kritzing then it'll drop whatever they have left. And if you dry push with uber disadvantage and win, you have a tonne more uber. And if you kill the med at mid you have a 60% uber and your own too.

what they use at iseries isnt important because iseries might not always be the big tf2 lan
Well between both maps it's technically halftime.

A team that needs and uses the 'halftime' in europe to talk things through will already have condeded the points for one whole map. While in NA, both maps in the week have a half time so you get the chance to gather your heads and pull it back and get points for each map.

Halftime is a great feature imo, I really like it, but it does rely on a plugin. In the 2nd half there's no way built into the game of setting the winlimits properly.

#156 Razer Arena adds TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I think there are plans for a bigger, better tournament which imo would be the perfect "introduction" to Razer Arena for TF2. If we casted this 8 man practice tournament I think it takes some of the hype out of the bigger tournament with real good teams and competition. We should let this be a test for the system and how everything works, iron out bugs and give feedback, and prepare for a sick cup later on which will be the beginning of TF2 Razer Arena for real. My 2c.

I think we should be moving towards united rules and whitelists, but people will be very reluctant to change. There are merits to both ways of running the rules, personally I think EU is better because it's better for scheduling and provides tense time-based moments towards the end of close games but equally there are problems (dead time at the end of maps for a few minutes, no half-time, potential for stalemates - though that doesn't happen in practice).
