I always thought that for a fairly large and active forum the quality of most stuff isn't that bad, even a fair bit of the trash is amusing
jesus you guys love to shit on popular non-comp people don't you
I actually think reaching out to people like muselk who have big followings with audiences unfamiliar to comp tf2 is a great way to get new people interested. At worst you make one match less fun for the upper echelons to watch once in a blue moon, and you get big publicity in return. Anyway, there have been popular casters before with as much experience playing the game, play-by-play doesnt require godly insight.
if you ever don't know one, just google it and you'll find the answer
googling "rofl acronym" will get you the answer immediately
Imagine if we pooled all of comp tf2's virtual items together, we could probably fund another i-series for free.
I agree that Valve could do small things which would provide a big boost to us as a community, but I can see also why they wouldn't want to. Our version of competitive tf2 is pretty far removed from their (and everyone else's) idea of tf2.
Mr_Harvardi mean we sent a heart filled letter reaching out to valve for support and no response so what makes you think they would do it on there own
After Lange's emotional video was made, we did receive a reply. It was not a dismissal either, but don't get your hopes up. But they certainly haven't blanked us, and some members of the community are in semi-frequent discussion with some staff on the TF2 team.
It's not all doom and gloom! They do care about tf2.
There gonna be a cast of the match on saloon.tf? Moo So Yoo vs. MVP
I have a 33% discount off this game if anyone wants it.
If it's a really obviously stacked game 90% of the bet amount is on one team. When that team win, the people who bet on them get nothing back because it's impossible to divide the other 10% among so many people. You're then left with a 10% that you don't know where to put it.
The solution isn't to limit games though imo - it's to make people realise that betting your life savings on a game which already has a 80/20 split is not going to net you jack shit. And in the rare occasion there's an upset (not even that rare), you lose everything. It's more about people understanding how the betting system works than anything you need to do to police it imo.
that was from last season
Looking for a medic partner who can hit arrows and carry me until I inevitably let them down some time before the semi-finals and instead resort to casting.
PM me here or message on steam.
"and yes, it will happen this time"
rofl
me too :D
This would be very interesting, I can imagine it being a bit broken for the beginning but it'd be cool to see it working and would be fun.
