I don't wanna skew the stats or anything but 6% on 1000 Poops is ridiculously low. They have been beating us recently and I'm gonna say that while I'm confident in winning on the night, there's at least a 30% chance in my mind that they'll win. 6% is madness and I wish I could bet against us just on the off-chance. Shows how much people just look at the tables and don't research or ask people in the know :D

It was on VTV because we couldn't get the new stream keys for TFTV before the cast, as Twitch was compromised and required everyone to reset everything.

Nobody there minded when I played, and there was a portuguese demoman there as well so there's no problem with EU people playing as long as you don't whine about the ping or w/e.

I think it's just torrit that's not allowed.

There's a theme here with bikes - I have been biking in to uni with no brakes on my bike for the past month. I know how stupid it is, but I can't be bothered to fix them. I've nearly been hit three or four times and had to jump off / swerve into the road.

The stupidest thing is that I'll do it again for the next week. Don't think it comes close to the stupidest thing I've ever done though.

And that makes quite a bit of sense, except that reduced mobility is a built-in downside to some of the beefier classes. If you allow all the classes to move at similar superspeeds when a big way that you previously balanced them was by using base movement speed nerfs, you're gonna have problems.

I don't think it's even debatable that super-teams are bad for everything other than battling other close-in-skill-level superteams. They lower the skill of other teams at the top level by gathering all the talent into one place, they lead to reduced competition, they lead to reduced motivation, reduced spectator enjoyment.

Happened in Australia for aeons, in EU for a while with Epsilon as well and it was entertaining momentarily since there were teams almost able to make it close, but soon became boring. This season is much better, even if the skill isn't as high.

Eventually these teams died in the other scenes as there was nothing to really play for - I guess the LAN scene of ESEA has promoted the longer life of 4G compared to the others, they can actually win a decent prizepot. I am actually surprised that (given the monetary motivation) nobody has really put a lot of effort into making a counter-superteam. Nobody willing to put in the time to get up to their level and then try to surpass it when they have other responsibilities I guess. Money's not that much.

It was a completely unintended side-effect here, but maybe we should stream big games on steam more often to bring in any steam users who are unaware of competitive tf2 and wouldn't think to look on twitch. We're sooo far down on twitch that this could be a great advertising opportunity for competitive tf2.
