I honestly consider a HUD its own when the creator started basically from scratch, and didn't just make modifications to an already finished HUD.

This is pretty much my problem.

So lately there have been some messages in TF2 chat that I am not receiving, i.e. player connects/disconnects, player chat messages (both team and all chat). I only know I'm not seeing them because a friend will sometimes laugh at what someone typed in all chat but I won't see the message myself.

My friend referenced this being linked to a console command, but the only chat-related console command I know is hud_saytext_time, and that's not the issue. If anyone knows the fix to this, that'd be nice. It's minor, but it bothers me.

~ Fixed engineer pickup icon remaining in the targetID while spectating

+ Added icon for melee powerup in Mannpower
+ Made HUD animations take longer in hopes of fixing the bug where health is red upon respawn

I've been having some trouble finding an animation file, and I can't find the file that changes it.
I want to change the rectangle that appears while capping, shown here, and I want to change the rectangle that comes down over the cart whenever you start pushing it, shown here.

They're listed in vgui_drawtree as CapPulse and EscortHighlightSwoop respectively, but I can't seem to find them when searching for them in Notepad++. I just want to know what file changes them both, thank you.

So yeah, I'm surprised no one's really been discussing this here. Valve promised Source 2 for early Spring, but it appears that they are now getting around to finally releasing it.

There's been two minor updates since 2.1.7 that I figure I should mention:
Update 2.1.8
~ Adjusted the Killstreak Leader label in the winpanel so that it is centered
- Removed the "You came close to your previous best" messages

Update 2.1.9
+ Added higher quality item images in inventory & loadouts, credit to wiethoofd for the find

Hey, so I've been having this problem for around 3-4 months now where I just get absolute trash connection to any kind of Valve official server, whether it be in TF2, CS:GO, or even Dota. It's gotten really annoying to get 80-100 ping to any Valve official server, while I get 20-30 on any east coast community server. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to fix this, or do I need to make a call to my ISP.
