Sure, but I'd like to have really good dm too.
I'm only at 500 hours and getting into comp, but in 500 hours time I want to have made real progress you know.
My aim is fine for my level I guess.

^^ I don't know if it's slow. I haven't a clue. TF2 is the first game I even used a mouse for since I got a pc a few years back. I also play on a 1/2 metre x 1/2 metre chest of drawers, so space is tight.
Alright thanks.
I'm not quite sure how to improve my aiming. I know DM servers can be recommended, but I'm so much worse than the scouts (i'm trying to hit) in those servers, that I'm not learning anything because I'm dead before I have time to focus on them. Pubs I can often pound in, but I barely need to aim because smart flanking is enough, so maybe I need to just focus on tracking rather than killing.
I guess I was wondering whether it's something you get used to. So on maybe 12/360 I struggle now, but will I likely get good with it long term and am I struggling just because I'm not used to it?
edit: right, okay thanks. I'm just looking to improve my tracking as scout really. Any ideas?
I play scout mostly and I have a sens of about 15inches per 360 (1600dpi and 0.66 in-game sens), with no mouse accel in game or windows.
Is this too slow do you think?
I went on a DM server today and got crushed, I couldn't hit a thing, and it got me thinking about it. Should I learn to use a higher sens or stick with what feel safe and easy? I'm concerned that I won't be able to react enough against better players. Tbh, my tracking of stationary targets in tr walkway as I strafe round them isn't even that good. I have utterly crap tracking and I'm not sure how to fix it, so I guess I'm seeing sensitivity as the starting block. I tend to change sens every few weeks really.
One of my favourite medics.
But I'm a noob, so take that as you will.
lighthouseAdebisiBack to the demoman discussion, where does Kaidus rank? Out of interest.
keeping in the spirit of the thread, i think kaidus is extremely overrated. most of the plays he did were both incredibly risky and not highly rewarding. when he does flashy plays like that and it works, it just gives people who arent as good the idea that they should try doing that and naturally being not nearly as good as kaidus they would likely mess up a lot and be like why am i losing. not at all a big fan of his style
Interesting.
I think his alternative style is really interesting though. Maybe it's a case of balance (as most things are in life), but some of his medic picks, for example, show that elements of what he did are incredibly useful and the key is maybe moderation.
It's actually a question you get across most sports isn't it; flashy and extravagant or safer and reliable?
Firstly I love the game. I genuinely think it's amazing and have since I installed it 2 years ago.
Secondly, watching players like Clockwork, Shrugger etc, reinvigorates my desire to be able to do what they can do and more. After watching them play I want to move and aim like they can. and they only way to do that is to keep playing.
Getting beat is also a reminder that I need to play more. I played comp for the first time the other day. We won but I bottomscored as demo (in fairness I missed the first mins because i was trying (and failed) to join mumble). I killed more than died, had some decent point presence and area denial, but I saw much better players in that game alone, which makes me want to match them and play more.
Even if I type " sv_allow_point_servercommand always" into console and "retry".
Tr walkway doesnt spawn bots either but the above seems to fix it. Any ideas?
Fixed, thanks all.

PertAdebisiDumb question perhaps but shouldn't your class played hours add up to about 1500?AdebisiIncoSo what's he been doing for the 1100 hours not spent in his class times?AdebisiDumb question perhaps but shouldn't your class played hours add up to about 1500?hours aren't only play time
Hours on record just records the number of hours the game is open, this includes time spent in the main menu
Playtime (hours) are hours spent in an actual server and is much more accurate in terms of actual playtime
Sure, but it seems odd to have 1500 hours overall and only 400 ish of that spent in games.

Ah okay thanks. So I just get roped in when they're short, provided the other team is cool with it? But I can't be a proper sub.
Got it.
tiptoesno, you can only be on one HL roster at a time. But, if the other team allows you as a ringer, you can stay on that one roster, while playing for the other team.
Cheers, so how does that work?
I said I'd be sub for one team that asked me to play after another team had asked me.
