Both of those bunny's are banned though, aren't they?
aykarinMR_SLINwhy is it that every time someone is found to be a hacker
1) the hacker stops posting
2) his idiot "friend" who nobody has ever heard of speaks in his place as if he was him
I don't think he's speaking in his place. Nor do I think he's an idiot. In fact, the reaction to him is quite immature: all insults and no explanation.
I think that he probably has seen Moose helping out a lot around a variety of forums, being a nice guy (a rarity in competitive TF2) and can't quite reconcile the fact that good, helpful people can also hack and cheat.
No need to insult anyone, is there?
While I don't agree with the name calling, it's easy to see that everyone has gotten frustrated with him because despite their clear arguments against what he is saying (i.e. he DID get vac banned, so he probably cheated, etc.), he has reiterated the same argument, "Oh, but he's a nice guy and important in the community. He'd NEVER cheat because of that", and not say anything to contradict the opposing arguments.
Also, Wills, cut the bullshit with the smiley faces. It only makes your posts seem more patronizing and passive-aggressive. Seriously, you don't need one after every fucking sentence.
I don't want to see warmfront again, metalworks was much better in my opinion. Really fun map to play on.
Climbing in Thailand, aw yeah.

Hanging out at the belay, ~1,000 feet off the ground (it was kinda chilly)

Okay that's pretty ridiculous. Spies and snipers should really be the only classes that can 1 hit kill a class (although I guess direct hit would be OP by that standard...)

Does a sticky really do 125+ damage if placed directly at someone's feet? Cause that's a little absurd...
thorn_Instead of calling out a whole bunch of players for their "cheapness", why don't you seek alternative methods of dealing with your problems? Play DM and MGE to improve, and if you get beat - they outplayed you. Keep playing and you'll get better. Also, with all due respect, what exactly are you supposed to do in DM if you're not supposed to try to win? Winning only means you killed more players, which is the point of DM.
Not trying to be mean, but there are so many people who would rather sit back and make every excuse in the book than genuinely improve themselves. This applies to everything in life.
By "winning" in DM, I mean that they aren't playing to get better, or to get more kills, but to have a better KD by only ever fighting people that aren't fighting them.
And I understand your point, and I'm not trying to come off as someone whining that "Oh he counterjumped me, it's not fair and i can't beat him!" What I'm trying to say is that when I play against people like that, it's frustrating for me, and I neither have fun, nor do I feel like I improve while playing against those people. Eventually my DM will reach a level where I can just deal with it and fight them anyways, but until then, I want to find people to MGE against that don't do that so that I can focus on the bare bones basics, and enjoy myself while I improve.
I remember hearing about the real bunnymonster trolling newbie mixes last weekend.
Seems like an asshole either way :\
I don't care about the score or anything like that. I just get a feeling of futility when there's nothing i can do about people playing to win rather than playing to get better.
shootistJust turn off chat and voice in mge and don't counterjump / or use any specific strats no matter what the other person is doing. You'll lose a lot and you'll feel cheated / frustrated, but eventually you'll get to the point where nothing "gay" works against you cause you'll hit every shot anyways. I can't really say the same for dm because I feel like it's more useful for scouts than soldiers so I haven't played it as much.
Add me up, I'm on literally always and I can play against you in mge if you need someone, though to be honest I feel like games which require more precise and accurate mouse control like CS helped my dm more than my many hours of mge.
Either way, best of luck! I mged you today I think and in my opinion your rocket aim was really good already.
Yeah, that's all good advice. I never really use strats anyways, but I'm not at the point where I can just hit shots to deny them from playing like shitlords, and I get frustrated too easily to improve enough to get to that point. And yeah, that was me in MGE with you today, and thanks. I added you.
asianriceguyIf you don't remember, MGE is where we met. I'm always here =)
LAST ONLINE: 4 DAYS AGO
My DM has always been the weakest part of my game, and I'm trying really hard to improve it. However I've gotten frustrated with the types of people I tend to meet in the DM servers and MGE, to the point where it's just not fun to play those game modes, and I just don't feel like I get anything out of those sessions. So I'm looking for people who also want to improve their DM, but are not shitlords who:
-shoot me in the back in DM, but run away to grab a health pack as soon as I try to fight you
-Spam from crates or a mile away as demo or soldier while I'm trying to fight other people (seriously, how do you get better from shooting people that don't know you're even there... play against bots or something)
-Counter jump and other common MGE gripes
-Try to "win" DM by having a stellar K:D
-Play MGE just for the sake of playing MGE
*Note: not all people who do those things are necessarily shitlords. I recognize that plenty of people legitimately enjoy MGE just for the sake of MGE.
If you want someone to play bball with, or MGE with, and you honestly want to improve your DM ability, please add me and hopefully I can actually start getting good at this game. Also, I'm mainly interested in improving my soldier DM, but I also enjoy scout, so I'd be willing to work on that occasionally as well (plus, hitscan aim is hitscan aim, and the shotgun is my favorite weapon).
Also, I've noticed that if i take a significant break (5-7 days or longer) from really playing, I'm rusty when I *first* get back, but it comes back quickly, and I often feel even better than when I left off.
When I feel burned out on DM/MGE, I just stop practicing it. If you still enjoy surfing, jumping, sniping in pubs, or something else like that, if those types of things feel relaxing to you, then just do that. You definitely won't get that rusty if you're still playing the game, and at least for me, I find a lot of aspects particularly relaxing (jumping, surfing, sniping).

Kinda old stuff, but still relevant.
