I think something important to note is that the higher leveled 6s players are almost never on TF2C. ESEA pugs, pug.me, private pugs, are usually where they play non scrim/match related games. HL, on the other hand, has very few of these pug groups, so you'll see a lot more high div HL players than you do 6s players. Might that tip the scales in 6s' favor? Maybe, but I doubt it would be a large shift, and the information you've posted is interesting nonetheless.

yttriummathsadjust wanted to say that if you're linking steam accounts PLEASE use id64 (the long numbers) or a steam id and not custom urls because people can change those. you can use this website to get the id64 of a steam account. We do, you have to click on "View Player's Team Experience" in the bottom left of the player's UGC profile page.
smoboMost site functionality is up again, but login stuff for team owners may not work yet. You should be able to play 6v6 matches tonight unhindered, just add the other team on steam, and if you need something you would normally use match comms for, talk to an admin.

I think it's sort of like a reverse situation compared to 60hz vs. 144 hz. If I were to go back to prenerf demo, it'd be a lot clearer why people thought it was overpowered. The balance with scouts is more skewed in the scout's favor now, which can be a genuine issue, but I like how good demos are much more noticeable now compared to the rest.
