#74 New Pug Group in TF2 General Discussion

I did some digging:

Katie: http://www.ugcleague.com/players_page.cfm?player_id=76561198253500983

Claimed previous account with CS:GO VAC: http://www.ugcleague.com/players_page.cfm?player_id=76561198129665269

Uberace: http://www.ugcleague.com/players_page.cfm?player_id=76561198188956631

Sharx: http://www.ugcleague.com/players_page.cfm?player_id=76561198115853449

All 4 accounts have the exact same IP. Of them, only Katie does not have a VAC ban. The other three have VACs from late June/Early July. Sharx and Uberace have shared a common steam name in the past - Leo Hoskins. The Uberace account has an STV linked to it where extremely obvious projectile aim assist is used (45 degrees+ from crosshair).

Also interesting to note is that the Katie account is the only account with more than a day's worth of UGC roster history - the Uberace account was kicked off from an Iron roster the day after joining due to the automatic VAC roster removal.

I'd like to keep it around the same, so 400-500 USD for everything on that list other than monitor.

#878 PC Build Thread in Hardware

This is the first time I've tried to build a pc (played on laptop ever since I started TF2)
I made the push so I can play in 144hz, as well as improve performance in whatever other games I want to play in the near future (Dirty Bomb, Overwatch, etc), and some casual streaming.
For reference I currently use a Lenovo y510p laptop

#51 tf2c bans guy for a year for mentioning tf2stadium in TF2 General Discussion
AbrissEvery single community has problems like this. UGC and ESEA admins are no better than the tf2center ones. You can get banned for 3 months from UGC when they catch you hacking (or you can just be bo4r and probably pay the admins like $3 and not get banned) but when you get caught having two accounts one of which never plays you get 6 months???

Having an alt is usually a month ban or so, tops. The extra time for you is because you were dumb enough to lie about it to Snow's face and get caught.

#109 GXL LAN Thoughts in TF2 General Discussion

S/O's to:
- pascal for being just as awesome in person as in game (and for giving us a place to stay)
- pie hero for driving across the country just to see me
- myles for being hot and spooning me
- CJ for being rich and having mutual friends
- Commonpleb/Joe for not being a common pleb
- blues for not having me drive him this year
- mariposa for showing up
- miggy for being a boisterous Florida man
- kevinispwn for giving me some of his chicken Friday night
- stevec for his insurmountable patience in dealing with the hot dads and turning myles into a retard
- sezco for being brave and trying vegetables and asian food, and telling me stories all Sunday
- whoever took a photo of the back of my head using my phone while i was gaming

- anyone else I missed!

I played less tf2 this weekend than I normally do (and lost every match), but I had much more fun than last year.

#1 LFT backup soldier IM/Open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello friends
UGC administrative abuser here, looking to backup for IM or Open team. Preferably IM.
I haven't really started in a non UGC serious team in over a year, but I've been backing up pretty consistently for a while.

6s exp:
ESEA:
- S15 Open: Tina Belcher and the Uhhs pocket (did bad)
- S19 Open: 6Cuties sub (1st place because invite sandbaggers lol - never played)
- S20 IM The Cattle allclass sub (rip)
CEVO:
- S5 Open Butterfly Effect Pocket (3rd)
Asiafortress:
- AFC9 Div2: Sweaty Tryhards allclass sub (2nd)
and a bunch of UGC stuff that doesn't really matter

I can play any class if needed, at the following skill levels
Soldier: low-mid IM
Demo: low IM
Scout: Open DM, IM capping
Medic: better than scout
These skill levels are merely estimates because I haven't played with NA 6s people in a long time, but they should be fairly accurate.

So my preferred backup classes are Roamer > Pocket > Demo > Medic > Scout.

My specialties include running conch and playing HL classes (pyro, heavy, engineer) really well/gay.
My schedule is free, I just don't want to commit more time to video games than I have to.
Cheers!

#1469 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion
PellovleysmoboDo you seriously think the admins haven't investigated him? Every match he's played has been looked at. At least three times, just by me personally. We don't "clear" people because it's extremely hard to prove someone isn't hacking. Even things like attending a LAN have been shown to be insufficient with the CS:GO bans from last fall.

Nobody is ever cleared, but he's as close as we're going to get.

you guys banned rondego in a heartbeat as soon as a bunch of plat players said hes hacking (and you all reviewed his povs), yet you wont convict bo4r even though hes 10x more obvious?

Correlation does not imply causation. I'll be surprised if most people have done more about bo4r than just watch YT clips instead of what should be STV/POV.

#1278 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

I want to clear up some things for people in this thread.

There is no such thing as "Cleared by AC team". This is an unequivocally stupid statement - no one is ever "cleared", there is just not enough evidence to say without a doubt that the individual is a cheater.

I have left TF2C. I no longer have direct access to player information, and cannot handle bans. I can and will still assist them in AC issues, but that's dependent on whether or not they want me to do so.

Again, this thread should be used to accuse people with proper evidence. Yuri's log of 96% accuracy is enough to gather suspicion, but a simple number is most definitely not enough to ban a player.

#180 Why it’s time to say goodbye to TF2Center in TF2 General Discussion

To whomever decided to try and start a witch hunt for MasterNoob on reddit: for shame. Do you not realize that the entire point of why Digresser and I did what we did is to improve the community, and not to have a senseless, misguided mob try and "fix" the situation? Regardless of the morality and decisions of people involved - myself included - removing the services TF2C provides to the community is undoubtedly a net loss. Yes, had a different individual been in charge of TF2C, current events might have been different. But that is not the case. There is, quite simply, no way TF2C can operate without MN. He is in charge of development, future projects, servers, hosting, monetary issues - everything vital to the success of the site hinges on him right now, other than moderation.

Unless MasterNoob turns out to be more malicious than expected (i.e: misusing the donated money), most people would agree with me that it is better if TF2C stayed alive for the moment.

TF2Can emerged from Flares that Care because individuals channeled their outrage into doing something positive for the community; not wasting time trying to hunt down the corrupt individuals in charge of FTC. The competitive TF2 community has achieved incredible things time and again because there are people willing to do good for the sake of everyone else. The recent events surrounding TF2Center can result in achieving great things - or it can be squandered by shortsighted individuals who care only for vengeance and humiliation. And you know what? Who MN is, what he has done, does not matter at all in the long run, as long as people seek to improve the community. If you make people care and focus more about some silly witch hunt than positive efforts, then you've done much worse, and made a much more negative impact on the community than he has.

thooomasi got perma banned for kicking people http://gyazo.com/751d7f98f30d2d3fd03282cf7a6fdafa

death to capitalist pigs!!!

Thomas, your most recent ban is for banning everyone that tried to join a lobby you created (10+ people banned), and then closing down the lobby. Your previous ban history includes trolling, griefing, exploit abuse, !rep abuse, racism in chat, trolling with the "LOBBY CLOSED" message in chat, and closing lobbies early on not one, but two accounts.

Your ban history is literally the most extensive and varied ban history I've ever seen, and I genuinely wonder why you weren't permabanned earlier. TF2C may have flaws, but banning you was certainly not one of them.

#1214 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

Hello all,

Following kKaltUu's TF2C resignation, I will be handling the majority of cases posted here, as well as the cheating reports on TF2C. I still have access to assistance from ETF2L, although in typical UGC fashion, I cannot guarantee fast bans for these players in any league or community, as I am abroad for the next two months.

I'd also like to remind people that this is not the place to accuse, but rather to post evidence. Posting a name will almost guarantee that any future evidence from the accused individual will no longer exist (unless they live under a rock, which is possible). If you feel that a player is suspicious, but lack incriminating evidence and worry about gathering it, feel free to send me a PM on tf.tv. I will keep an eye out, and do my own digging. Cheers!
