Steviebfaalizeewhy don't you play OZF?Good question. Could I ping good from say Shanghai to Australia?
Even from HK I was getting 150+ ping to some Aussie servers, and HK has like the second fastest internet speeds in the world. I wouldn't really recommend it.
I saw a few of the Cute Beast players (all Chinese, tip top of Div 1) play in Singapore/HK servers, that's still probably your best bet.

I stayed in HK while studying abroad this past summer, and played TF2 when I had some free time, including in AFL.
- AFL seasons are a bit weird, there are two main "cups" throughout the year that teams sign up for, the equivalent of seasons in EU and NA. Don't remember how long they are exactly.
- Probably somewhere around mid Div 2.
- There are two main pug groups: AFL pugs, and Shana pugs. They're much stricter than pug groups here, and you need to sign up for them through steam groups stuff. They run all the damn time (I had to leave the AFL pug group because I'd get steam announcements for them like 16 hours a day.
- Probably not. Even Japanese servers are kinda icky. You'll probably land anywhere between 150-300 ping depending on where you are. The majority of competitive league servers are in Singapore and HK.
- MGE is really popular in SE asia, not so sure about DM. The main MGE server used in HK was called Nietono Shana or something - don't quite recall.

GED is always an option, but depending on how bad your situation is/how close you are to finish high school it might be more or less effort than just sticking through it. If you enjoy cooking, you could look into culinary school, but those all require HS diploma or GED, so it'll be one or the other.
Don't make any hasty decisions, and make sure you discuss (with parents and academic advisors) and explore all options available to you before committing to something.

Ash_smobonoblenderalso i called out proximo last year after seeing his first log with 900+ dpm as demo in iron or steel hl. smobo was told by someone who i told, did no investigating. best anti cheat team. rofl.
UGC AC is 100% volunteers. They have been and still are actively recruiting. The fact that they're falling behind just means the competitive TF2 community has more cheating scum than people willing to do anything about it. And that is heartbreaking.
There's a serious attitude problem when people like you would rather insult the volunteers for not being perfect than actually help.
ETF2L's AC team is 100% volunteers, too. From my tenure as head admin I remember there being some sort of collaboration with UGC at some point, maybe it's time to revisit that.
I talked quite a bit with ETF2L admins a few months back, including some on the AC team. Between timezones, general school business, and less time spent on TF2 stuff that kinda fell off. It'd be nice if we had EU admins who were more closely affiliated with or know ETF2L Admins to coordinate this though - I don't want to have to be sitting in class and chatting with ETF2L people again, nice as they are.

idk if u know this but the goldrush team was for sandbaggers on alts like gr:m
he'd make goldrush lobbies and say they were for newer players and then stack red so that they could roll new players for 3 maps straight
If they were almost all sandbaggers then it's actually quite pathetic.
1-4 in steel HL
1-4 in iron 6s
2-3 in steel 4s
We changed all the scores of the matches they played in. They were the top team in Steel HL before we finally got the proof we needed to put them on hold.
