After another Newcomer game there's more Main action to be seen. We'll be treated to another Sunshine showdown between Hairline Treatment Centre (3-0) and ASAP Mob (2-1). HTC houses some familiar names such as kore4n, who placed 5th in S1 Main with dragons are pretty cool, and alfredodan - RGL S1 IM champion as part of the Stangers. Also, flatline returns to 6's after a ten season break (welcome back brother). Not much is known about ASAP Mob but it seems a handful of them have played in RGL IM, and some have a couple of ESEA seasons to boot. If last night showed us anything it's that you never really know in TF2. Can Hairline Treatment Centre keep their undefeated record? Or will ASAP Mob tie it up. Find out at 10:30 EST.

More Newcomer coverage? Hell yeah brother. Tonight at 9:30 EST we have another Newbie Mix Team Drive Team in verum (0-1) going up against Ice Cream Technology (0-1). Even though again, there's not much info I know about these gamers that doesn't mean there won't be exciting TF2 to watch. I will likely be joined by fleskore, the coach for verum in the booth. It was great to have Jaguar provide insight on his team last night and I'll try to make this the standard if and when I continue to cast Newbie Mix Team Drive teams in the future. We got a BLANCTV doubleheader for you gamers this Friday evening. After the Newcomer match, I'll be casting Rodney & the Stangers (3-0) vs. Pootis Von Epic (1-1) at 11PM EST. As a returning playoff team from last season, the Stangers are once again off to a hot start, dispatching their opponents with ease (Bye Week will have its revenge...). Meanwhile, Pootis Von Epic houses many players new to standard 6's, with a couple players having multiple seasons of Highlander and Prolander under their belts. Rounding out their roster is SpaceCadet'HX, who I like to think had some part in changing their team name from "animeclub." Anyway not sure what to expect, but the casual casting, bad camerawork, and drinking must go on.

Edit: My inside sources have notified me that they are looking for a very prompt start at 11, otherwise the match will be rescheduled. This is the heads-up.

BLANCTV kicks off Season 3 coverage with some Main action tonight on Gullywash between Give Me Five Minutes (0-1) vs. Egg Salad Dressing Black (0-1).

Egg Salad Dressing may house some familiar names to those from the ESEA era, as Brimstone, YellowCellPhone, and Pizza made their debuts in S21 under the same name. Rounding out the other half of their roster are a batch of newbloods with limited ESEA and RGL experience. Their first match of the season saw a closely contested 4-3 loss at the hands of Barcode, a team that placed 4th in IM during Season 2. On the other side of things is Give Me Five Minutes, who feature players like ghadilli and Kami, who have made recent top 5 finishes in Main over the first two seasons. Their roster also features a variety of interesting names, such as ESEA S29 Open champion em and TFTV's very own Recurse. Like ESD, they also suffered a super close loss for their opening match, falling 5-4 to Straight Outta ReSurfed. Who will take the W, and who will go home still searching for their first win of S3? To be fair it's pathetic that two of the three RGL Invite seasons won't even have eight teams. I remember tri saying Invite would straight up not exist if they didn't have enough teams. Then again the whole lack of guidelines about division promotions / demotions and the fact that you have to make a new roster every season certainly doesn't help.

Map pool changes are a whole different animal.

I think we should rename Div.2 to Unadvanced.

Might as well name all the non-Invite divisions with numbers. Makes for a cleaner look, but yeah overall good realignment.

I dunno man, that team name just doesn't exude class unlike some other teams in RGL such as Crystal Meth Gaming, Gloryhole Guillotine, The Hymen Busters, and waluigi fuck ur bitch.

Needles were always about being a defensive option because you weren't always a sitting duck at close and mid range, and there was utility with Overdose giving you some extra speed. Once crossbow buff and tether speed came needles became irrelevant.
