AptAll you guys just now coming out of the woodwork to offer to take the spots in IM started caring way too late. You were warned repeatedly over the course of the last 24 or so hours (give or take). This is the result that your actions have chosen for you. This isn't reversible.
Alright chill. It's been a problem for all divisions over the last few seasons. We try and save IM every season - whether it's competitive IM teams dying or Open teams refusing to move up - everyone was complacent with the division being on life support season after season and that's where we are now, but we don't have to burn these Open teams / players at the stake for it.
Sandbaggers have no excuse though, go fuck yourselves.
We lost Main in S16. We lost IM in S25. We lose Open in...?
-Phantom-I'm just wondering, has esea been this close to having issues in previous seasons and we pulled through or is this the worst it's ever been?
The last two seasons, Invite struggled to find enough teams and has only had eight teams (compared to nine). We used to have nine teams since forever ago. IM has always struggled to get sufficient teams, and Open has not had consistently good numbers since like S15.
There is no hope if we lose Invite. The top-level IM teams need to step up.
AptFeels like there's an abysmal amount of open teams this season tbh. Are we going to do anything to get some more last minute teams together or is this it?
It's on par with last season. But that's just saying it's abysmal every season, which is true.
Oh look, we don't have enough Invite teams.
bLais it just me, or does paddie look like ster with a different hairstyle?
Just you bud.
radium, the best TF2 dad, to terrorize Open on Scout! \o/
Tino_Id be more worried about Open then IM this season.
We should always be more worried about IM than Open any season.
PYYYOUR. harbleu. shade.
To me, it's very hard to ignore what these guys provided to their teams. All were phenomenal minds of Medic, and all delivered incredible / clutch performances individually and with their respective teams. PYYYOUR brought so much knowledge to the game and many Medics from the olden days learned so much with him, myself included. harbleu was the game's #1 Medic to watch bar none: an exciting high-risk high-reward playstyle that captivated audiences. Never forget S15 LAN and i52. shade obviously is the most storied Medic now with all these LAN wins but I feel for that reason he's almost like underrated when everyone's focused on the team aspect of the game. He played his role by never dying and if that was all he provided it would suffice (obviously that's not all but hopefully my point is made).
Plenty of "younger" or other notable Medics throughout the years who have been really impressive. I particularly liked indust, Fragile, Nursey, and of course ¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º° KROSSBOW KID °º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸. Even mesr's Medic for that one season ages ago was great, too.
I don't know much about the EU Medics besides watching streams, but most of their names have already been said here.
gollywobbler1safrixwho are any of these people
Hello, my name is gollywobbler1 and I've played medic in open for the past 4 seasons. My team won a single game in the playoffs so now I'm technically considered a basement IM medic. It's nice to meet you.
Gollywobbler will be the best-mannered player in IM next season bar none.
CitricQuick update: brought it up with Tri, he said he'd look into it but said it was doubtful the conference system could be changed due to how the servers work, thanked us for the feedback though. Unfortunate but not much to be done about it other than get so many teams it becomes a non-issue :(
Are there server location restrictions based on conference? If not we could just get all the Open teams to signup for central.
I'd be interested in knowing how many active (career) Medics have played since or during the old days when crossbow was irrelevant. I'm pretty neutral either way (because I sure miss using needles) but crossbow does provide something exciting to Medic. I don't think I'd have "less" fun if the weapon was banned but hitting long-distance arrows is one of the most rewarding feelings besides getting an Ubersaw swipe for uber. Guess I'm still torn.
Hiya.
I'm looking to play Medic on a team for S25. Hoping to find a team of dedicated individuals who communicate and have good attitudes about the game (like handling losing) and each other (being non-toxic). To me, that's more important than division / skill / performance - as its what made most BLANC seasons so enjoyable - so it doesn't bother me if I have to play Open again. Though I would really like a chance to actually play well in IM for once. I'd really like if I could be on a team with a vocal maincaller - it lets me focus on my game and if I have to be micro'd super hard I'm okay with that. In fact, I'd argue that all those seasons of me maincalling has nurtured bad habits that I'd like to get rid of (and I'm trying to purge those in pugs though it is rather selfish to do so).
I do take a little while in opening up to new teammates, but if I like you then it's only a matter of time. The current problem is that I'll be busy with my last semester of school / graduating which goes until May 10th, so my chances for tryouts until then will be very spotty. And with the season starting soon after (unless extensions happen, heh) it'll probably be tough for me to find a team. However, I can promise that I'll put in 100% effort to "catchup" once college is done with, and I'm usually very vocal about things like availabilities and the like.
Relevant team history includes a season of IM with Mumble Robots in S19 and four seasons of Open / IM leading BLANC Esports. Thanks for reading.
