DrHappinessNew Updates
  • Ascent.EU and Faint Gaming EU automatically qualify due to their recent performance in the EU Monthly.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if Ascent.EU automatically qualifies because of the cup this week shouldn't The Bus Crew also be automatically qualified since they both reached semi finals?

'The top teams from each group will qualify to the Playoffs with Invite teams in a 16 Team Double Elimination Bracket.'

Don't you mean the top 2 teams from each group? Because if only the top teams qualify to playoffs you end up with 12 teams in total (8 invite + 4 open) since there are only 4 open groups.

Menachemactually ridiculous to not sign up for this now. theres a prize pool, the top teams have their own bracket, and the time commitment is far less intense than before. get ur dang teams in and pester ur buds to do the same, this is a Big Deal!

#20 i63 rentals available and seat picker open in LAN Discussion

Are people going to move to the second block on the right? Cause a lot of tf2 people are still on the left underneath the Social Games area.

More seats will open tomorrow: https://twitter.com/IGFestUK/status/1017435890740793346

Is there still a plan to pick one block/location for tf2?

#12 TF2 top steam game PogChamp in TF2 General Discussion
morwannegymRaisinI just want to know who the 27 Million people that play unturned areNot play, but have launched the game at least once. There's a ridiculous amount of people who will open a game and then never play it either because their PC can't run it or they're just not interested. Like compare the % of people who get the easiest and most popular achievement for a game with total owners and it ends up coming to like 60% or something most of the time. So 50 million people owning TF2 isn't that big a deal since half of them have probably never played an actual game of it, and the game is also 11 years old and one of the most popular f2p games of all time.

That's not true, only the players that got at least one achievement are included: "It seems this API allowed users to view the percentage of players who complete Steam achievements by up to 16 decimal points." So that means actually 27 million players played Unturned.

#58 EssentialsTF July EU Monthly Announcement in TF2 General Discussion
MenachemMuukiFirst, it's been tradition especially in the higher divisions in Europe to not play friday/saturday. People generally actually have something else to do with their lives, and a lot of people are obligated to spend time with families or other hobbies during the weekend. How did the Beater cup that get more than double the minimum that Essentials needs? Sure, people are still gonna be busy some weekends, but the way this has been going, it's more like there's a straight up boycott on Essentials. If you're a team that plays 5 days a week, cancelling a day or two of scrims around the cup shouldn't be a big deal. Most of the maps in the ETF2L rotation are in the Essentials pool as well.

Do you even read the posts in this thread? Beater's cup was announced on ETF2L, not everyone checks tftv. especially if the announcement doesn't get stickied.

We'll see if you can make the NA cup happen next week

#36 EssentialsTF July EU Monthly Announcement in TF2 General Discussion
HiipFireof course the timing of the cup isn't ideal and some people in the higher divs might not be too interested in playing in the cup when they have little to no chances of actually winning it, but when beater's map cup got 40+ teams as opposed the essentials monthly getting 18 teams the next week, it seems like essentials is somehow not getting the attention of all the lower level teams that the etf2l cups do reach

Beater's map cup was announced on ETF2L, that's probably a pretty big deal. When I started playing ETF2L I almost never looked on tftv.

DrHappinessTo clear up any misconceptions regarding promotion, we approached ETF2L and asked if it were possible to have a news post. They declined as they wish to have their posts limited to events that are ETF2L-related which is completely understandable. I believe we are free to make a post on their forums, however.

Why did they have a news post for the monthly cup in May if they only want ETF2L-related posts?
