#12 Why has there been no new huds lately? in Customization

Maybe there's so many huds at this point people prefer to just update good outdated huds instead of starting from scratch. good example: http://www.teamfortress.tv/33738/ive-updated-some-huds
A friend of mine updated prismhud recently, another friend combined bwhud and omphud and updated them.

Perhaps people are discouraged to make new huds with all the 'recent' updates to hud files with the addition of MM? Most likely not the main reason but it probably contributes to the problem

invites are still disabled. Someone will probably post in this thread when they're enabled again.
Until then attempting to invite someone does not work.

The reason for invites being disabled is that the faceit team wishes to focus on improving the service before inviting more people to play an unfinished product.
They're considering adding a class system so people don't end up playing classes they're not comfortable with. But faceit doesn't have a similar adding up system for another game so the dev team would have to code it from scratch

Sinetihow would you go about combining the no smoke explosion script and the crosshair script? becuase i want to use both

Already worked for you but I guess I'll make a short guide for people who want to do it in the future.

I'll be going over my rocket launcher file. You'll also have to do this for your stickybomb launcher, grenade launcher, direct hit, airstrike, etc. It's just pasting the section from one file into the other file. Nothing special.

Open the relevant txt files. Somewhere at the start you will see //buckets with something like this:

This already uses smaller explosions. I prefer the flash explosions but I think most people use a particle related to sappers. The default values look like this:

do you use the no explosion smoke script? Those use the same txt files so make sure you combine the 2 together in 1 file. Having 2 seperate files will make 1 not work

BazingaBarry82HypnotizeCheck if you have -autoconfig in your lauch options.
You might want to check if they are binded correctly in your autoexec as well.
My null movement script is in the end of my autoexec, but I did notice something, when I went to save my autoexec it was saving as a text document, but it still shows it is a cfg, could that be what is causing my problem?
Also I do not have -autoconfig in my launch options, should I?

yes make sure it's a .cfg file

aliases don't save between sessions. null movement is all aliases.
Restart TF2, try walking around on a server, look at console. if it shows a bunch of "unknown command" errors this means whatever cfg file has the null movement script in it isn't getting exec'd

Yea the dev AnAkkk knows what he's doing.

The PR people working on it aren't as familiar with TF2 but you can't really blame them. They have like 3 games in closed beta I think. Can't just hire new staff that is familiar with every game.

They've been very enthusiastic about the whole thing so far and if they had questions about the game we helped them. They care about the community and are doing a good job so far which is all that matters
