Awesome work, especially with the song and how the video used it!

GeknaiirIf anyone wants a nosgoth key and doesn't play in esea or something pm me.
Just got three keys to give-away by e-mail, as did many others I imagine. Hit me up if you want them to use and happen to not have an ESEA account or something: Steam Profile.
Fairly talented, polite demo from what I've seen. Definitely would add tremendous potential to any combo in need, whether temporarily as a back-up or as a starter.
Personally, I've never really had a consistently good ISP (aside from when in university), though the closest I've ever seen to consistent was back when I had Comcast in Massachusetts over a decade ago. To be fair, that was back when I also played games like HL/DM/TFC and other shareware games on an IBM laptop though, and probably didn't notice certain things like jittering very well to begin with, haha.
In a nutshell, trust local reviews wherever you can find and specifically see if you know any gamers around where you live that you can ask what they would suggest. It truly does vary from area to area, and sometimes you may even be doomed to a certain ISP if you live in some areas like I do (the outskirts of the RDU area in central North Carolina). For example in my case, I'm pretty much forced to have Time Warner Cable, or Road Runner as they also go by, as an ISP, and have to face some of the most ridiculous routing to game servers in general. That poor routing is thanks to TWC's Internet backbone being probably one of the most inconsistent, poorly understood (at least by their Customer Support) aspects of the company ever, and despite numerous requests, it apparently "can't be fixed".
I still have TWC though, but thankfully I get to move back on-campus soon and get to split an apartment, so yay for large public research university T1 line with 60-70 ping to the other side of the country (Cali).
Pheeshanyone lucky enough to have google fiber yet? When I had verizon fios it was fantastic...stable and good upload.
Apparently the Raleigh-Durham area is getting Google Fiber in the future according to their website, though that entirely depends on how the areas here "prepare" for it. Should be exciting to see if it does come through in more and more places though.
Agreeing with the above, it probably has something to do with quick-play in all honesty. I'm trying to find it first, but I remember a SPUF (Steam-Powered User Forums) thread that outlined issues with quick-play and being launched as a new player into a Valve server and being "crushed", with a few suggestions revolving around assigning ranks as per achievements (which wouldn't make much sense due to SAM) among other things.
If it has anything to do with actually furthering competitive TF2 via a match-making lobby system of some sort though, my heart would explode.
reillyAnyone have a link to the Quantic halftime comeback against Mihaly's Flow? The implications going into LAN there ended up being pretty big.
Someone also made a great frag video about it that I can try to find once I'm off my phone.
This match?: ESEA Dont Trip > GOIN HEAVY 5-4
VODs: Twitch VOD (partial) / eXtv VOD (2nd Half)
Definitely a hell of a match.
Not sure how some of the buffs, nerfs, additions (heavy machinegun???), and changes in general will help the game on its release towards the Steam platform, but nevertheless, interesting attention from id I guess.
Hopefully there is more to explain, and later accompany, all this if it does go through as rumored. It's a pretty big shift in direction, and even so questionable in regards to whether it will even work with "newer players"...
Neat, thank you folks for the pretty smooth transition.
fosterAt least it doesn't affect live broadcasts :\
Though its a huge pain in the ass if you actually want to highlight a vod or put anything on YouTube. Maybe start local recording everything as well on obs?
That probably will be the way to go, unless there's something better, or this new "policy" or whatever is modified to not be so over-the-top.
It sucks though, I had a lot of somewhat old Twitch channels bookmarked for their VODs specifically and a good chunk of them are ruined now just because of something small like this.
Not a huge fan of Primus myself, but still a cool song I guess. Reminds me of some of Serj Tankian's work which I remember might have been inspired by something or another by Primus.
One of my favorite early 21st century French songs:

I know there's a good chunk of French-speaking folks on these forums, so hopefully it's a cool song for one of them, if not something to appreciate without knowledge of French anyhow.
I'd be down for some fun matches as well if I could get an invite.
EDIT: Thanks, Vile!
I have a one week premium code that hasn't expired yet if anyone needs one for a fill-in in matches during this week or next week. Hit me up on Steam; I don't really plan on ever using it so I thought I'd throw that out there.
Sounds pretty awesome to me, though I'm not familiar with the artist at all.
Not too sure how to embed this, so here's something from Blithe Field: Plastic House

This. One of my favorite pub maps ever as well. If you want to play some good games on it, there's a great No Heroes server that still runs a 32-player format for it.steam://connect/64.34.181.55:27015
