Rush - 2112
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Pink Floyd - Animals, Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall
Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory
Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness (ok, it's actually just 1 hour long song)
Edge of Sanity - Crimson (same thing)
Disillusion - Back To Times of Splendor
Orphaned Land - Mabool
I like a lot of concept albums.
Cranberry is a cool guy who's serious about doing well in the season. He puts out a lot of damage as demo and has good comms and likes to main-call so medic seems like a good fit for him as well.
The longer the individual games are throughout the season means room for "better" stats. An hour long 5-4 game is going to have more capture points, kills, deaths, etc. than a 20 minute 5-0.
That's basically what we're looking at right now. Mixup dominated this season 16-0 with the only close nail-biting game being the last one vs LG on process. If you look at the "time played" stats, Mixup players have a lot less time played.
Is this issue only in TF2 or can you notice it in other games or on desktop clicking? Re-install or just un-install any mouse drivers you're using and try using a different USB port.
There seems to be a lot of looking players, so I decided to throw together an open team with players who are truly dedicated to getting better and have enough time in their schedules to scrim regularly between 9-12EST Mon-Thurs. Of course there can be exceptions, but hopefully you have enough time in your schedule to scrim 3-4 days a week most weeks.
Attitude and dedication are the main concerns. Do not quit immediately after scrims or matches and be willing to openly display concerns or questions to the team.
Roster so far:
Pocket - Me
Scout - Stratovarius
The rest of the spots are OPEN so feel free to send me a friend request and ask for a tryout. Hopefully I can get together people to start scrims this week.
He's confused because you said "but someone who plays counterstrike" when you meant "by someone who plays counterstrike." and then you didn't have any background about what you meant.
There's a banned CS player named caseythecat that hacked the esea accounts of nemrawd and swatt to play in pugs. Nemrwad and swatt both got banned for ban evasion because their ip's were then linked with caseythecat's. ESEA refused to unban them. Visitor got banned for someone cheating on CS under his ESEA account - not sure if it was the same person.
Either way, it's a really dumb way to get banned and they have no way of overturning it.
Is there a way I can sign up as a coach? I remember a lobby where the opposing demoman asked me after the game to teach him how to rollout on badlands. We spent around 20 minutes just ironing out sticky placement and timing. He hit his first window jump and it was basically the best feeling ever. I'd like to do more things like that.
I've got mixed feelings about the idea. I feel like if you try to group together all the streamers into one server it would bring less attention to comptf2 than playing on different servers. An example how things usually play out when a high-level player joins a pub is (not always):
"Hey, you're really good. Do you play on a team?"
From there the conversation normally snowballs into talk of competitive TF2 in general and you can lead players to teamfortress.tv, newbie mix, lobby, tf2.pug, etc.
I'm not saying the idea of having teamfortress.tv servers in general is a poor one. As with any pre-existing community server, people who frequent the server are going to be a part of that community. If we have teamfortress.tv servers they're going to be the go-to pub servers of many people on this forum. When you have a ton of competitive players populating a pub server you're going to have an average skill level that's much higher than ones of a pub. It's not going to be very appealing for new players to want to play with a bunch of people who play at a competitive level.
Before I got into comp I ONLY played on RAGE arena servers. I would have personally never got into competitive if the whole comp scene was condensed to only playing in one pub. This is an extreme, I know not everyone is going to solely pub on tf.tv servers - but I feel a majority might.
TL;DR - If teamfortress.tv is meant to serve as a hub for competitive TF2 as a whole, it might not be wise to condense the playerbase into a few servers to gain exposure.
You quit before the last game of the season that determines whether or not your team makes playoffs? Fucking harsh.
I only read threads on the latest thread section.
Use -dxlevel 81 in launch options and set your resolution in launch options for additional fps gain. If you want to split hairs and try to get as much fps as possible without just using a better rig you can try:
-fps config (of course, and you said you have one)
-fullscreen
-shit resolution (i use 800x600)
-disable mumble overlay and steam community in-game
-make sure no background programs are running while you're playing tf2
Last point not being an impenetrable fortress that's 300 miles long.
Such a good game.
