kounterpartsbearodactylYou can also join a surf server and then host a local server (typing map surf_utopia or whatever). Timer and bhop won't work though.surf servers dont work on stock locally because you cant change sv_airaccelerate
The settings changed by a sourcemod plugin (eg sv_airaccelerate) are not reset when you load a map locally from a server, hence it does work.
If you play on a CRT, there's no difficulty in playing with odd FOVs, here's a 5:1 aspect ratio. Also, I'm fairly certain that sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov is set to 1 in standard ESEA configs, which means that you can still get whatever resolution you want, provided that you play in fullscreen.
Easiest method is local recording using OBS. If you want something with a constant framerate (independent of the quality of your computer), you should use the built in source recorder through something like lawena, source recording tool, or just through the console (more difficult). This thread covers it, skip to the end for relevant advice as recording tools tend to break with time.
rosieevery1 gets their panties in a knot when theres a viable item that isnt stock
yawn
tell me about it
compared to kf1, how many hours of playtime do you think it will take to max all perks? (kf1 was something like ~170 without grinding i think)
are head hitboxes more consistent?
do the classes from kf1 fill similar roles as they used to?
Unless this is a social experiment to prove how completely unproductive public surveys are, I don't think you'll get anything of value out of this. Also,
Rickunless u want to manually parse thru this thread I would make a google form, or surveymonkey/equivalent
The goal is not to give new players experience. That is the job of tf2center, and they do it as well as seems to be possible. As a replacement for pug.na, the goal is to allow decent (open+) players to be able to play 6s outside of scrim time or without a team.
I would suggest making name entry ascii-only, you can use unicode extended characters right now.
I have no intention of using the Chrome OS, they are just the only real form of low end but modern laptop which I can think of. Most of the other sub-400$ laptops that I have found are either refurbished or ancient. Is there some other reason, other than dislike of Google, to not buy one?
In terms of budget, keeping the total under 500$ is the goal. I have never liked 2-in-1s or tablets in general; I would much prefer a normal laptop, complete with all of the various ports that I listed, as I will be lugging peripherals down with me.
Over the summer, I will be going to a university to take a couple of classes. I have no intention of taking my desktop considering that it only runs for six weeks, as well as the fact that I will be flying down.
So, I want to buy a laptop which will be used for steam (no games, just communication), browsing the internet, and doing some light programming. Some specs that I think would be required are:
- A decent webcam (720p)
- Screen size of 1600x900 or greater
- 4GB RAM
- 2+ USB ports
- At least 1 audio port
- Ethernet
- At least one video port
- Total cost including upgrades <500$
Unless necessary, I would rather not have a touchscreen.
So far, I intend to buy a cheap laptop, swap out whatever drive it has for a ~240GB SSD, and slap on some flavor of Linux. Which flavor is also up for debate; I have little to no experience with anything but Ubuntu.
I was looking at this Chromebook, but according to this chart, the majority of Chromebooks do not have upgradeable SSDs (additionally, many are not supported).
This model seems to be supported, but I'm not even sure where I would get a decent M.2 SSD.
Does anyone have experience with this niche of computers, or a better way of going about this?
