Ok, so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this at all:
Sometimes I'll be pubbing around with friends or whatnot, and I'll encounter a play who is the wrong color. While the obvious assumption is "That's a Spy you fucking moron", I have encountered at least 2 examples (with other witnesses) vouching for my sanity.
My friend was playing pyro on my team (BLU) yet his model was Red. I knew it was him, and nobody else saw him as Red, but obviously it really threw me off seeing an "enemy" player in the middle of my team.
Second example: I saw a Soldier on my team being healed by an enemy medic. Assuming it was a Spy, I shot him, but was surprised to watch him pop Buff Banner and kill me with a Rocket. So unless Spies suddenly got a new weapon set and can attack without losing their disguise, I'm a little confused.
Anyone else encounter anything like that?
I hope we get a bunch of teams!
I'm bringing in a bunch of my friends to play; totally new to 6s and comp.
Really looking forward to tonight!

This is the trump card of bad frag videos.
Really good session last night, def check out the vod!
I'm sure anyone outside of Plat could learn at least something from this.

This is the other big issue floating around for sure.
It's a scary place out there...can't wait until 2014 so we can vote out some of the deadweight.
frknalthough i agree with your post, all military personnel are being paid. congress passed that yesterday.
I am more dumb than you could even begin to imagine.
My best friend is overseas and we were talking about it yesterday. Should have checked to see if it passed.

So the last government shutdown in '95 cost billions of dollars and was generally regarded as a bad move.
Because the first year (roughly) of the ACA was already funded, this government shutdown literally cannot address that problem unless they stay shut down for 9+ months (doubtful).
Marxist and Sal both made good points about the act and why it's really not so bad, but even if it was, this isn't the way to deal with it. After burning millions of dollars trying to repeal it, it has become increasingly obvious that budget concerns are not the issue here.
The 2 parts to this issue that I would like to call attention to:
-800 thousand government employees are now furloughed until further notice. On top of this, the 1.4 million military personnel (many of whom are overseas right now) are working without pay.
-Congress is continuing to receive pay and benefits during the government shutdown (and ironically enough, all members of congress receive free government healthcare. Even Republicans).
So regardless of your political stance, we can all agree that it is complete bullshit that Congress gets paid to do literally nothing while my friends are overseas getting blown up without getting paid. Fuck that.
Skeptical but hopeful. It was hinted that it would be released with their new engine [citation needed] so who knows?
pascalHey guys-
My friend and I have been developing a TF2Lobby alternative named TF2.gg. Notable features include:
~SNIP~
This is totally awesome.
and to #5, the big issue with pugs over lobby is the mumble requirement. It's a lot easier to justify downloading mumble when you've already played a little and have a grasp of what's going on. Not that mumble isn't (obviously) superior to In-game chat, but it's certainly more familiar to totally new players.
If they need money, or admins/mods, or something, they need to say. I'd be happy to help any way I can (as I'm sure many others would), but unless the concensus really is "abandon ship to TF2Center", I don't know what we can do.
Would really love to hear from Floor_master.
mustardoverlordwhat falls under the blanket of being "bigoted"? apparently the fat shaming thread was locked because some moron said bigoted things about gay people, but that was following pages and pages of bigoted things being said about trans people (and arguably the very first post was bigoted towards fat people l0l)
where dyou draw the line for that one?
also if someone is being bigoted and you attack them personally by calling them a bigot, is that against the rules as well
I agree that clarification would be very useful.
This might sound strange, but a great solution is to swear.

As long as your mic isn't on (and you have understanding housemates/neighbors), there's no downside to relieving stress through a well said "FUCK".
You're releasing the stress, so there's nothing pent up, but you avoid any possible property damage.
Barely cheaper than a stress-ball, but you can keep your hand on the mouse while doing it.
EDIT:
PlatinumJust rage scream like makaveli
Beat me to it haha
KillingShit that reminds me, I'm going to make an IRC channel probably for people lft or lfp. I'll do it when I get home.
Awesome thanks!
Anyone want to do this and need a 6th? I don't think my team can/wants to play.
