Yeah that all seems good to me, that was the RAM that I had been looking at/reading reviews for as well actually.
The main thing I had 0 idea about really was the motherboard, so as far as mobos are concerned, I'll take your word for whatever you suggest going for. Though I'd rather not have a mobo that's brown, I don't mind spending a bit more, up to like ~100 or so for a different one.
SetsulYeah, but you still can't afford a better GPU so that'll have to wait. Not great for Destiny 2 but at least there's still plenty of time until Cyberpunk is released.
Overclocking yes/no?
Full ATX or µATX?
Yeah Destiny has become more of a backburner game anyway so I'm not terribly bothered now, should have mentioned that. At this point streaming/video work is more the focus of the build than straight up gaming.
I'm open to the idea of overclocking, I've done a bunch with my current CPU, but with Ryzen I don't know if it's worth going for. Whichever you think would be best really, if an overclocking board is overall better than a non-overclocking one, then the OC board is the choice to make.
As for form factor, I'd prefer full ATX. I had also been looking at the below case and might take case fans from my old pc.
_KermitYo, I'm looking to build a new PC around a 3700x in the near future and am looking for advice on a build, I've not really been keeping up to date with most tech stuff.
The build will be mostly for games, mainly TF2, Dota, CS:GO and souls games, probably some Destiny 2 which literally maxes my current cpu out lol. I'll maybe play Elden Ring/Cyberpunk too when they're out, but no idea of how demanding they'll be. Aiming to get at least 200+fps in TF2 and at least 150 in Destiny 2, the graphics don't need to be maxed for Destiny though.
I'll also want to stream all these games at some point, which is why I felt a higher core count could be beneficial. It might be a bit overkill, but if the PC is gonna last as long as my current one has done, I may as well go overkill now and maybe get a bit more longevity.
I'll be doing some video stuff as well and will want to render at 1440p60 hence going for the 3700x instead of 3600x just for some more cores to use while rendering. Unless I'm mistaken in how many cores can be used to render videos.
I already have storage (850 EVO) and GPU (RX 480) sorted as they'll be reused from what I have now, will be looking for everything else, including a new case and PSU.
Budget is ~£700
It's been almost two months now since I posted about wanting a new PC built around Ryzen 3, and my own pc is starting to die, so getting a new pc is becoming more of a priority. Any chance prices have settled enough for a decent build to be put together at this point?
Just search demos.tf on clearcut, and filter by player names for some invite players.
gemmi don't know what's worse, zesty playing for NA or calling himself jesus
Or the fact he's not called Hard Aim Pootis Serbia any more...
It's the offseason atm so there's no live games to cast but I fancy streaming some tf2, also the provisional schedule for ETF2L is broken/not updated so I've got no clue when s34 starts.
What I've decided to do is ask for games from i65, the games can't have been casted on the main stream at lan, or been outside of the main tournament (no drunk games basically), other than that there are no stipulations as to what the games are. This is mainly for lower teams to get some sort of eXposure/spotlight and have at least something from lan casted.
Also just to make it clear, this isn't some sort of "sub to me and get demo reviews/games casted" type deal, just hit me up on discord at kermit#0318 or DM me here on TFTV.
m4nnCould anybody tell me what is that hitsound/killsound please?

JonathonTheSeagullHow do i fix this bug with the hypnotize hud? file:///D:/20190818145043_1.jpg
Gonna need a real image link there chief.
TimTumTimTumI've downloaded multiple huds where they customized the part I would like to change, but I couldn't find the correct files.
How do I change this part of the main menu where it shows your party/lobby?Show Content
I basically would like to change everything on that bar, not only the party but also the global chat icon, the play/quit button and the bar itself.
Alright I've found the file by looking at some advice earlier in this thread to use vgui_drawtree. (so it was matchmakingdashboard.res).
There's one last thing I'm not able to edit however:

I've seen some huds where they were able to edit the bar underneath the steam avatar. Does anyone know where I can edit this bar? By default the color of the first partyslot looks like it's blue, but yeah as you can see on the screenshot it's white. If possible I would like to remove the entire bar.
color_bar_health_x under playerpanels_kv under TeamStatus inside of HudMatchStatus.res
