#25 TF tv community servers? in Off Topic

I'd be willing to throw in monthly money to mantain a community tf.tv server, up to US$40. I've never set up a server tho, but if any of you is serious, add me on steam and we'll talk it out.

#10 Share your story on getting into comp in Q/A Help

My brother told me about the eXtv youtube channel, I suscribed and started watching most of the eXtravision videos as they were released each week. At that point I had no clue about who were the teams or leagues that extine used to talk about and I barely understood what 6v6 was, what I was most interested in was in the community segment of the show.
Then I realized that every episode extine said to tune in to their stream to watch the matches, and so I realized that I had to suscribe to their twitch.tv channel to really stay updated with the competitive scene. So I went to twitch.tv and found out that there was a lot of people streaming tf2, so I started watching not only eXtv but most of the invite players streams. Eventually I got curious and started asking things on the stream chats and getting advices from some of the streamers (Lange & Seanbud <3), AND ONLY THEN I finally understood how this thing worked, where to find the community, where to follow the matches, etc.

Now with teamfortress.tv everything is much easier. I feel like eXtv should direct the new players to this site to help making the community bigger.

#4 DK lft S13 in Recruitment (looking for team)

It so happens that esea invite is where the top level teams of tf2 are at the moment, demonstrated after i46. Where would you want to go learn and test yourself than where the best are?

Positive comms, skilled player, lot of experience in 6s. Top player here in Chile, been rocking local tournaments for a while, all the teams want him.

Not kidding.

I believe someone posted it in a thread long ago, you'll have to do some research to find it
