This one is meant to be based around signing up with full teams or pug teams again. If you'd prefer to solo queue, that is still an option of course! Hope to see you there.
If you have any questions or feedback please let me know.
Your map looks very nice and has some interesting features. But I'm going to echo what some others have said that you would need to completely scrap and rework large amounts of the map if you wanted it to play well in 6v6 competitive TF2. You should probably clarify if that's your goal or not before people waste time dissecting the map for competitive play.
Looks like your attempt at plus frags has failed. Maybe next time. Until then let's focus on the people that actually still play this game who are keeping it alive :)
Has anyone tried contacting the FACEIT support? They have always been very quick to respond to match issues in the past, perhaps they could point you in the right direction towards getting these hackers banned. Otherwise, everyone who does find themselves in a game should certainly report them and make as much noise as you can in the FACEIT discord. Pretty important we learn how to best tackle anticheat early on, so assuming we get them banned promptly this should serve as a useful learning experience.
I Am Being Cyberbullied And That Is Not OK!
I was already aware that TFTV people were obsessed with me, but its quite flattering to know I was the life of the party without even being there! If you'd like more TF2 advice, feel free to ask me on stream btw :)
For reference this is what you can do if you push on a pick while knowing they have a spy: https://www.twitch.tv/esportsarena/v/116587878?t=9h11m30s
Hope that helps :)
Teams that survive more than 1 season
For the invite teams, my point is that scrims were irrelevant, the round robin essentially served as scrims for the teams and every team had enough time to prepare for the elimination bracket. Funnily enough, in your post not even you seem to acknowledge that we didn't get to practice. For the open teams, if people only played two games in the tournament, then I agree that's not enough and it would have been cool if the tournament offered more gameplay for everyone. Then again, ESEA LANs used to be double elimination and those worked pretty well. Plus I think pugs were happening at the LAN too. Still, I was under the impression it would be a swiss system not a double elimination bracket, which could have given more games, and to be honest I still don't really know what format they ended up using. I didn't have much involvement at all with the open side of things, I was more focused on the invite side of things and they were organized separately. Either way, I'm sure ESA did the absolute best they could given the time restraints, uncertainty of attendance/registration and other technical difficulties.
saamb4nnyWe played 0 scrims and won the tournament idk what to say.
I'm telling you issues people had with the lan and your response is "My team won"
I really hope you're never involved in planning something like this again.
I'm simply proving that your feedback that you said was "a massive problem" was actually not. Again you're refusing to be practical about how this stuff actually works. It would have been perfect if the monitors were there on time, but they weren't. Instead of joining you in yet another one of your tantrums about it, I'd rather rejoice that there were people who didn't sit around crying, but instead solved the problem and the monitors arrived in time for one of the greatest TF2 tournaments of all time.
Considering going. Don't forget there's a two-time froyotech GXL title to defend! Please update as soon as you can with the TF2 tournament info.

Sounds like many issues arose from misunderstandings between what the original plan/vision was and what ended up happening after compromises and changes came up. There was a ton of transparency every step of the way (probably too much, to be honest) with the prize pool, monitor situation, tournament schedule, etc. with plenty of evidence of all changes being announced and posts being updated, so calling ESA or myself liars is pretty unfair. If some things were misrepresented, then I apologize, but I've already reviewed all the chatlogs I had with you saam and I was certainly not making promises. There's always a lot of moving parts and things being dependent on other things happening first, so if one part falls through then it cascades to others. But with an event like Rewind, you can't wait to the last moment to start announcing things. If we waited until everything was 100% complete before announcing then we would have announced the LAN the Friday night before the tournament was supposed to start because it turned out I had to pick up the monitors last minute from iBuyPower. There would be no teams at the LAN, but at least we would have a complete and exact account of everything we could offer! That's just not a realistic way to organize/announce things and I don't think you can fault ESA for that. They were extremely flexible and accommodating, so try reciprocating. I guess for a LAN that went amazingly from my eyes, I'm just surprised that you have mostly negative things to say. Is it just residual salt from not getting the opportunity to get 6th place in the Invite bracket instead of Meat Market? Anyways, imo it was a great LAN, great matches, and a lot of fun. Thanks to ESA for hosting us, hope to see TF2 there again some day.
Hey guys, the queues are open and will remain so until 6EST. Please join as solo, get sorted and have fun!
