#8 etf2l season 3 trailer in TF2 General Discussion

I remember Krunkidile came to me when he was commissioned for an ETF2L trailer and said to me, "Dog, I know NOTHING about competitive Team Forts, but they're gonna get what they asked me for."

In retrospect, there's a lot more to this that is accurate about 6v6 than I thought.

#183 i63 Confirmed in TF2 General Discussion
HiipFirecant wait to see only ascent na at i63

I'm speaking independently and not as a representative of Ascent when I say this, so I could be wrong (I'd like to be wrong). Putting aside community, money/fundraising, passion/wanting to go, and tradition to the side, Ascent NA going to iSeries - let alone any non-mix NA or AUS team - doesn't seem like a priority either. Unless froyotech goes.

Looking at it from a competitive & marketing standpoint, the incentive of beating a b4nny roster that is a) long-term and b) not a mix team, is only but one of the factors other international teams consider when they decide if it's worth flying out to Europe. As much as I like what i61 SVIFT ft. b4nny or Se7en ft. Paddie symbolized from a community unification perspective for i61, as well as how absolutely fantastic the games looked and hearing about the people who came together to celebrate those games and this community last year - the i46 tradition of international, worldwide competition is at risk.

People ranging from players to viewers wanted to see NA's best team go to i61 to compete. They wanted to watch and participate in the best of NA vs best of EU storyline that has been marketed since i46 began it. Se7en, made up of most of i58 champions Crowns' roster and the best EU team at the time, almost didn't field a team for i61 after froyotech announced they weren't going, because one of the reasons they had was the incentive of beating their NA rivals was no longer present.

I understand where froyo is coming from; I don't agree with all of it. If b4nny wants to join an NA mix or an EU mix, that's cool for people interested in him or NA representation. If he changes his mind and is able to field froyotech, that's fantastic and beneficial to the tournament's overall interest. If another NA, AUS, or non-EU high level player or team wants to go, that still brings publicity. If not, then that's what it is. There will still be great games during i63 watched by many international viewers at home and at LAN - just not international competition, if that's the problem here.

If froyo skip i63, NA teams will just wait to fight b4nny on his home turf for Rewind III or another NA LAN, as b4nny wants, and EU teams who want to represent will have to cash out and go to froyotech, who will be waiting in the comfort of their own home because they know, like it or not, that they are valuable.

#19 Hugs.tf 2018 Announcement in Projects

Thanks to everybody who helped break last year's total as well as tuned in! As of writing this, the donation total sits at just over £19,000 raised for Special Effect. Donations close next week, April 29th, so there's still time to get it up to £20,000 by donating directly or using scrap.tf's item donations. That means you can also still get that sweet medal me, XB33, and DarkLitria helped design.

A big shoutout to the Hugs crew for allowing me to come back this year to help yell at people in their chat as well as do concept art. Big shoutout as well to the Hugs crew for taking time out of their schedule to volunteer and attend, staying up 24 hours to put on a show for the people, organizing everything and helping accommodate the online and offline volunteers as best as possible, and eating a whole log cake (happy birthday Permzilla) - all in the name of these kids and these people who no longer have to feel limited or confined, thanks to technology that accommodates for them and their wants & needs from Special Effect's efforts.

#8 Tf2 vs overwatch sfm in Videos

The Genji/Pyro reflect scene was my favourite scene
The Mei scene pacing was also great, I want to try out some of the material effects he did with the ice.

Additionally I want to link Nayram's TF2/OW crossovers because they are also high quality crossover animation, and normally I'm really hesitant on watching any SFM crossing the two over.

#41 Esea medals in TF2 General Discussion
FUNKeIf the community were to concept, model, and pitch as much work as we can put in firsthand, is it possible esea would meet us halfway and implement the rest?

I'm down to make a concept sheet with a pitch as to why it'd be a good idea and put it into a Powerpoint or however it needs to be pitched. That being said, I don't want to waste a modeler's time let alone my time if ESEA is 100% not flexible on this.

Pops contacted Tri who pitched it to ESEA, I was told they turned it down though and didn't see the value in doing it.
