basically rewind 3 they somehow didnt find out that the LAN venue was 'cloud' gaming aka not actually a LAN, but a bunch of computers streaming similar to steam in home broadcast (dont ask me why tf these morons thought it was a good business model to do that), and when ppl found out it was super late and they couldn't get another venue so it got cancelled

bts was a giant fiasco where they forced teams to buy tickets upfront and show confirmations of their booking in order to have a reserved spot, and then after the admins got hate for randomly banning alfa from going to the venue tsc had a meltdown and left the game permanently (jk hes surely pulling strings somehow behind the scene somehow) and loads of ppl stepped up to help make sure the tournament happened despite this admin stepping down, but sami also started getting a ton of hate because she was defending dashner and she couldn't handle the stress and decided to outright cancel the event, instead of stepping down herself and letting others take over (there were tons of volunteers w/ ample experience that could've)

the end result was a bunch of ppl got fucked over and couldn't get their money back from flights/hotels and others like myself ended up just going to cali anyways and doing a vacation since stuff couldn't be cancelled

its a shame cause she was a legitimately nice person from all my interactions at lans and stuff and did seem to actually care a good bit about the game, but after fucking up colossally and getting both rewind 3 and BTS cancelled, and defending dashner despite knowing what he did, can't have any sympathy whatsoever

definitely a great first edit but some little things are maybe try messing with speedups/slowdowns, I noticed the smooths were usually just the same slowmo speed but people like nick will usually have it start slow and then speed up, just to emphasize the part that's slowed down and then bring you back to the regular speed

gotta vouch for the netherlands too, i studied in amsterdam for 2 summers and it was so fuckin awesome, utrecht and the hague were also beautiful and awesome cities to go to but didn't experience the nightlife there much so cant comment

the fact that u can bike everywhere in amsterdam and there's beautiful canals and stuff is definitely a huge upside, along with all the bars and clubs and shit, but the biggest thing to me was just that it's relatively small and felt cozier, like you could actually learn the whole city and feel at home whereas other cities (e.g., new york, london, paris) are so much easier to get lost in, and are daunting to explore around by yourself (plus u have to uber/take the train everywhere)

reading this thread tho i def needa go on a proper trip around europe and go to barcelona, budapest, krakow and everywhere else i didnt get to go when i was in europe (maybe ill end up working or doing a PhD in eu or some shit that'd be a nice excuse to get outta the burger hellhole)
