I will say that with the high purexp (motion blur reduction) setting the monitor does get fairly dim, so if the BenQ gets brighter while maintaining the blur reduction it's probably the move. I will say tho that the 27 inch is pretty nice and the colors on the xg270 are very good (I have a color calibrated ips second monitor and honestly cannot tell the difference)

I also like the fact that it has little mouse/keyboard bungees and a little headphone holder thing that swings out from the left side, but if you want the pure performance I'm sure the csgo neets know what's truly the best

edit: looks like divineAT above me edited it out but he said something along the lines of the BenQ having an advantage with ~400 nits vs 200 of xg270, maybe that's not accurate?

totally depends on your use case: higher resolution is nice for multitasking and photography/video editing but won't help you with tf2 obviously

blur is definitely the main factor in buying a new monitor, I have the 'blur busters approved' viewsonic xg270 and it's great, can definitely tell the difference between 144 and 240hz and the lack of blur makes hitscan so much easier (there was some thread a bit ago about limiting it to 120hz with strobing for 'extra clarity' or whatever but I like the smoothness of 240 and it's already clear enough for me)

another consideration is if you have multiple monitors, what size/resolution you want: I had a 24 inch and 27 inch 1080p monitor and it was a bit weird having the mouse jump up and down, ow I have two 27 inch monitors but one with higher res and 60hz and I use this program to make the mouse cursor move between them as if they're the same res

If only we could vote "yes but with warnings instead of instantly banning" to the second question about invite players being held to higher standards

I can already see RGL using this as a justification for making bans even more severe for invite players while still not even warning people lol

I feel like if someone get's caught cheating in a league they should be banned for more than 1 year, that's really not very long in a game that has been around since 2007 lol

fr tho u can scrape all of logstf fairly easily and do some interesting things like sort by dpm on pugchamp logs (I believe delpo and banny were highest, unsurprisingly)
