#37 Live from the streets in Off Topic

I thought history has told us that petty violence does not make change - which what the people of Ferguson want.

However, people don't understand that this goes beyond the death of Mike Brown, it goes beyond in the sense that for more than decades of racial profiling, blunt racism, and a corrupt police force. The failure to indict Wilson seems to be another slap in the face for them. It also is a moot point to debate whether he should be indicted or not, he wasn't and there's nothing going to change that - what the people of Ferguson need to does is make economic and governmental moves in their attempts for a better life; violence solves nothing. I don't think the race problem will get better for another 15-20 years - there's just too much animosity.
I'm just so sick of the mental illness that is racism - why is it so hard to judge someone by how they act, and not their skin color?

#3 Take a moment to enjoy life! in Off Topic

I remember when I experienced this feeling - one day I was walking from school and my phone died, so I couldn't be constantly enveloped by my technology during my walk. I was forced to take in my surroundings, I started feeling the painted walls on buildings, picking up leaves, and my mind launched into a weird state; like I just realized I had arms or something. When I arrived home, I didn't go on my computer like I usually did, I worked out first, ate, then just sat outside for an hour and a half. I started wanting to do something - I read a book next to a dogwood tree in my yard. It's kind of sad how I have to admit that spending a little time outside alone was such and experience for me; I was in complete serenity at that moment, and I've started reading outside more often.

Now, whenever I feel bored online, the first thing I think to do is immediately go outside. We need it.

#925 Do you like the song above? in Music, Movies, TV

Not even my genre of music and I enjoyed it. I can't deny talent, I love the bass lines as you said, and the overall vibe of the song was very chilled and smooth.

#69 surveillance camera man shutdown in Off Topic
hooli
it's happening

in related news; amazon just released the amazon echo: a 24/7 surveillance device that uses "fair-field technology" so it can hear you from anywhere in the room and "updates" via "the cloud". amazon has even disabled rating and comments on their intro video in an attempt to combat criticism and further censorship: http://youtu.be/KkOCeAtKHIc

get yours today

It's been happening for years, the news media is powered by lazy sensationalism and diluting the facts away from real issues. Some people in the U.S. are literally more concerned with Dancing with the Stars or the Voice and shit like that rather than who they are voting for in the upcoming election. And the worst part is that its not getting any better.

x3There is very interesting toughts about security, privacy and also the perception of people regarding private / public space.

It remembered me a lot of work of Foucault, french thinker that i like a lot.

If you are offended by this video, because he could have disturbed those poor individuals while staring at them, there is something you dont understand in the world we live in.

I would be on your side if he specified his purpose on making the videos (maybe he did, I didn't see it). Something that noble, making the people realize that being spied on isn't cool, and we need to do something, would be amazing. However, all it appears to be is him getting shits and giggles pissing people off.

I honestly want to know what anyone of you who thinks he is a hero would have done if he had walked into your room and started filming without reason.
He's either very brave or stupid, because I see no point in literally shoving a camera in peoples' faces - it's intrusive. I'll be honest and say I would have a hard time not getting physical with someone who refuses to stop recording; he literally was politely asked to leave what seemed to be a college classroom and then came back just for the sake of 'entertainment'.
Anybody could do this, you just have to be a big enough of an asshole.

ToasterDid you say flash can beat superman lol i will have you know superman beat flash in a foot race and darkseid can not even touch superman Superman busting an AMPED Darkseid aka universally powerful..(equal to Infinity Gauntlet Thanos) ALSO superman prime is a god so.

If superman defeated flash in a foot race either he wasn't trying or the comic wasn't canon. Also, how did superman beat a Darkseid who you is equal to infinity gauntlet Thanos? The infinity gauntlet grants omnipotence - Darkseid has never done that.
Superman Prime 1 Million is a god, but only because he was basking inside a star for centuries, which isn't relevant.

Mr_Owlwally west flash is the greatest thing to happen to comic books ever

From the DC wiki:

Show Content
It appears that the Flash may run at any speed that he thinks is possible. Wally West is by far one of the fastest beings on the planet, and is arguably one of the fastest beings to ever exist (Although the title of "Fastest Man" has been given back to Barry Allen in his return in "Final Crisis"). Theoretically, speeds greater than Mach 10, are dangerous to both the people and to the environment. This speed would still be the equivalent to approximately 2 miles per second, allowing him to cross the United States in about 23 minutes, or circle the world in about 3 hours, but the Speed Force has shown that if needed, Wally West can use it to prevent such effects from occurring, hence why he is able to run at speeds much faster than light on the planet Earth without it having devastating effects on the planet. He can also run across bodies of water and up the sides of buildings. Wally has shown that he can achieve practically any speed he wishes and that there are no limits to his speed. He has been able to casually move beyond the speed of thought, easily move so fast that even an attack moving at the speed of light seems to be standing still and at the same time scans the face of over five hundred thousand people for a specific expression in less than a picosecond. He is able to easily save and carry over half a million people 35 miles away from a Nuclear Warhead that had already detonated including the ones at ground zero in only 100 picoseconds, and even move so fast that he exists everywhere at once. He is able to casually reach speeds such as 500 times the speed of light. He has moved and ran so fast, that he was capable of outrunning and defeating death itself (the Black Flash) by outracing it to the end of time/space, past entropy, the next Big Bang and into the next Universe. His speed is so immeasurable that he has moved and reacted by the attosecond (an attosecond is one quintillionth of a second. To put this in perspective, one attosecond is to one second, what one second is to the age of the universe.), and has even reacted and calculated by the zeptosecond (Which is one trillionth of one billionth of one second.) and has other feats of speed that are immeasurable.

He's probably the fastest character ever created in any type of fiction.

ToasterboppetToasterMIGHT BE A RANT ok im surprised no body has mentioned superman. he fucking gets constant power absorption from the sun. healing factor, He spent 15 minutes inside the sun. when he resurfaced he was powerful enough to move planets, he can hear sounds billions of miles away see through anything, see at a sub atomic level, hear through the vacuum of space. He can even see your soul. Plenty of more power. His heat vision can even reach temperatures hotter than the sun. incinerate planets in a starring contest. vibrate his body fast enough to faze through attacks even turn invisible, by vibrating just about light speed he can use the infamous mass punch, which hits with the force of a super nova which explodes with the force of 10 arctillion mega tons. He has a super brain that could process information 1000s of times faster than a human. Once fought demons with wonder woman and Thor for 1000 years. learnt how to protect his mind from telepathic attacks. he obliterated an f5 tornado with a applause. held a mini black hole in his hand. He dragged the earth around. Also this time when someone hit him with 15 super novas to the face. which is equivalent to 15 suns exploding in his face. He`s main weakness is caring and trying to protect others. Remove all of those and watch out. He can patch up holes in reality with his own static electricity. he lifted 3 Quintilian tons. went from earth to the sun in 2 minutes he could survive from a super nova as powerful as 10 OCTILLION MT OF FORCE. I feel like im ranting at this point.

TLDR SUPER MAN IS OP AS FUCK AND NEEDS TO BE NERFED

My second favorite is frank Richards lol no explanation for that one.

My favorite villain is def thanos hands down
Why do you say Superman is OP when Doomsday killed him, Darkseid smacked him around in the newest Justice League: Origin story, martian manhunter is stronger than him and he has a plethora of villains that regularly provide him with a challenge? He even has two weaknesses, kryptonite and magic. He's really strong,(which a superhero like him should be) but nowhere close to OP.

please tell me you are joking. I can go on about why super man is the greatest of all time. He hasnt even reached his full potential, because of the mental barriers in his head. I LOLED SOO HARD when you said man hunter was stronger. super man took 15 super novas 2 the face and survived lifted 16 times the earths weight dfkm. doomsday only killed him because the sun wasn't up in day time doomsday would be destroyed. SUPERMAN IS OP if you cant see that you need to read closely and do some research baud

Why do you fanboy stay stuck on Doomsday beating Superman anyway? That's like a someone not letting Goku's lose to raditz go ever

Superman struggles because he is a damn idiot. I have seen this guy "fight" with with metallo like the shit was a struggle and then when someone is actually in real danger , he simply rips metallo in half and flies away to save someone. Its almost as if he fights down to someones level almost for entertainment purposes. If Batman had supermans powers no fight would last longer than maybe 10 seconds. Superman could have flown Doomsday into the sun at light speed if he wanted, but the jackass likes to fight.

"superman doesn't kill he just bruises" -Batman
that's the main problem with sups and that's his weakness, take that all away and he is much stronger.

So wait, do you like superman because he's powerful? I'm confused - you said he needs to be nerfed. I never said he wasn't a good superhero, I just said that he wasn't neccesarily overpowered. He can be defeated by the likes of Darkseid, Despero, or even the flash and some other characters. I'm not saying he isn't insanely powerful, but he does need limitations to actually formulate a story.

Also, you can edit posts yo
dont have to post another every time you have a thought
