Well I think most open players don't have any reason to be attached to ESEA. For them, CEVO is cheaper and offers pretty much the same size prize pool for open. For them there isn't really a downside of moving to CEVO, at least one that is immediately evident.

defy I'm confused, are you suggesting that ESEA did not use their users' hardware to mine for bitcoins while CHARGING those users for the privilege? And are you suggesting that the court documents where ESEA admitted to being able to access your computer's files were falsified?
You see shit like this is why ESEA open has ~15 teams in it the day before the deadline, people have legitimate, serious concerns about the consequences of installing ESEA software but ESEA just laughs it off and doesn't take any of it seriously. Meanwhile people like you adopt this idea of "just pretend they did nothing wrong and belittle people pointing it out". You can see why that turns others off of the idea of financially supporting ESEA, right?
Rays, megabus stops in two places in DFW. First it stops in downtown Dallas at the DART East Transfer Station. This is where you'd probably want to meet someone. Next stop is in Grand Prairie, ~20 minutes west of downtown and in the opposite direction as the Doubletree. Pretty sure the first stop is always downtown, regardless of whether you're coming from Austin/SA/Houston.
Clockwork just nerfed the quickfix
Rock-paper-scissors is better than rock vs. rock every game, with a team occasionally trying to sneak in scissors without rock noticing.
Maybe something needs to be reworked, but quickfix being a viable option is a good thing for tf2. If the stalemates can be fixed without making quickfix useless I'll be happy. I just don't want to go back to 95% uber 5% kritz meta again...it's what made me lose interest in watching comp tf2.
WaribublasoreI just turned on tri-hards vs. mix^ and watched the trihards use kritz to crush mix^ on quickfix 2 caps in a row. I'm feeling an overreaction on tf.tv's part.
Scissors beat paper
Why is that a bad thing? Before this it was uber beats kritz, so pretty much always run uber unless you are trying to sneak a kritz play...this is much more interesting.

TaroAfter watching today's games I can't help but think the ubercharge element needs to be removed from the quickfix, the +40% heal rate is just so strong on it's own.
You're right. If the TF2 wasn't so adverse to trying new weapons and ideas, perhaps Valve wouldn't have needed to buff the QF to get people's attention? I haven't played tf2 seriously since spring, I've been addicted to Dota and watching competitive Dota. Seeing how often people try new things and how often you see "pocket strats" made me realize just how stale the TF2 meta has been...all we've seen was the rise of gunboats really. Maybe if teams had spent a month seriously trying the quick-fix, and figuring out how to make it work, it could have been an interesting situational pickup alongside uber and kritz even before the buff.
No way this is your first tf2 steam watching narf, I pugged with you in critfail ages ago, you didn't watch any comp tf2 back then?
Oh lord. Anything interesting to recap? It seemed like vector and slin were not getting along in the scrim, I suppose it's not too surprising.
Wait was Slin cut while streaming? I was watching him scrim w/ Vector like 5 hours ago...
LennonI wished I cared enough about this game to get as mad as you guys about these highlander scrims
You'll either think BroKing is hilarious, or really fucking annoying in mumble. He does a good job of taking command in pugs, definitely not one to back down. His playstyle/mindset is perfect for roaming. If you have a good first impression of him then odds are he'll be an excellent pickup for you.
It's a great location, North Dallas is the nice part of Dallas, and this hotel is across the street from a subway and a Saltgrass steak house. Mmmmmmmm Texas food
