Maybe think about adding some distance workouts into your schedule. Exercises like tempo runs and fartleks will probably help more than weightlifting as marathon training. Of course if you can fit in both that's even better.
Any thoughts/suggestions regarding this build? I'll mainly be using it for gaming (Overwatch, TF2, nothing too intensive), and the cheaper the better. I plan to build soon, and use integrated graphics until the new cards come out. Will the RX 480 be enough to run everything at 144hz, or will I be fine with a older GPU?
I definitely second Sublime--there's pretty much packages for everything you need (e.g. Anaconda, which includes numpy, flask, etc.), and has great customization options. You may run into some problems if you're just starting out since it does require some setup. You may find it easier to code in Sublime and run from command line.
If you're looking for a more traditional IDE PyCharm is fairly standard and easy to get into. It has integrated unit testing too which is a big plus.
I haven't tried many others, but I've heard PyDev is a little difficult to get into unless you already have experience with Eclipse.
TurinHow do so many people know what they want to do for a career?
I'm a year in and still got no idea.
A lot of people think they know, but they'll end up changing a bunch of times.
Check your ports:

It doesn't really matter what language you use when you're just getting started with programming. It's more about the concepts that you learn from it, like basic data structures and how to actually go about writing a program. After you get familiar with one language you find that the ideas are the same across others as well--then it's more about learning the syntax.
I'd say a high-level object oriented language like Python is a good place to start. It's really clean, more so than Java or C++, so I find it easier to pick up since you're not struggling with semantics. It's more used in academia, and not as popular in industry (unlike Java/C/C++ and PHP/JS), but if you already have some background in it, might as well keep going.
Probably out of luck.

The Valve Anti-Cheat system is only enabled on servers with the secured shield logo and only Valve has the ability to VAC ban a user. While server admins may choose to ban players from playing on their specific servers, they do not have the ability to VAC ban players. The VAC system is automated and contacting Steam Support to report cheaters isn't necessary. Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.
I can help out. Add me on steam.
I'm on a 650M card and had the exact problem two years ago. What fixed it for me was installing version 1.2.4 beta and putting -nod3d9ex in the launch options. I'm also using -dxlevel 81.
GetawhaleTeam Fortress 2 is the game that we play. These are two classes from that game. Like it or not.
Those two classes aren't competitive.
If you liked Watchmen I'd suggest V for Vendetta and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, both also by Moore.
My grandmother recently asked me to get her a new laptop, but I'm not too knowledgeable about the market.
She doesn't need it for anything other than email, youtube, and general web browsing. The budget isn't large (under $350), but with what it'll be used for I don't think it will be too big of a problem. Still, I'm hoping to pick up something reliable and decently fast.
I considered Chromebooks, but she has pretty much no knowledge of computers so anything other than Windows probably wouldn't work.
Any help would be appreciated!
