When there are people investing thousands of dollars into something it becomes something that requires good communication and dedication. The "it's just a game calm down" argument no longer applies. Yes this isn't the actual event that the money was put into, but it involves all the same people and had a major sponsor relative to other TF2 tournaments and probably should have been taken more seriously. If I was somebody at Zowie I would be deeply considering dropping TF2 support in the future.

The real issue is that hundreds of people were waiting for this event and a bunch of other teams moved their rosters and play times around just to be able to play with froyo and then froyo just doesn't show with no notice and doesn't really seem to care at all. b4nny appeared to have not even known that his team wasn't showing and my interpretation of clock's posts is that he thinks that he is better than everybody else and that we should fuck off for expecting him to make time for us (he makes time when he can but we can get stuffed if we think that we deserve him to show when he says he will).

You are making the issue in the OP worse by dodging it and instead focusing on one guy's issue of getting an interview and his possible handling of it improperly. If a statement about Froyotech not attending the tournament is forthcoming then fine, but it is really bad PR to be posting in the thread about it trying to prove one person wrong on some other matter while not addressing the major problem that the community has brought forward. I'm not some sort of PR manager and obviously you are free to do what you like, but I just want to tell you how you are coming off because I know it can be hard to see how others will see you from your position.

It's completely fair for you to say that we don't know what's going on and to tell this one person that he should have obviously given some sort of notice of why he was adding a player who probably gets 10+ requests per day. However I still think that the community should be kept up to date on what is going on with the best and most marketable team in the world when they are missing a big sponsored tournament. When a team simply doesn't show up without notice before the day of and the team leader is posting on Twitter that even he doesn't know where his teammates are, the community has a right to be concerned about whether that team is a good representation of the community and to question that team's caring about the community.

If you mean the sounds then you want to open tf2_sound_misc_dir.vpk with GCFScape iirc
