You're not wrong about the skill level Almie, but it's Top plays, not top frag, top skill or even top players. The conteXt is eXtremely important to our consideration.

You know we're gonna put cl0cks body block from GXL in our October edition (please please please let us know what clips you wanna see from GXL), and on one hand you definitely could look at that and say, meh nbd he only gets the assist on the medic. However with the scope of the event, the scenario, and the level of players, that play is really out of this world.

I think we are going to have way more fleXibility and pull with the admins at FITES LAN. I'm not even sure if ETS would bulk pre-sell us an area, and that's what we'd have to do to guarantee a set amount of teams actually can get tickets. If ETS does let us set that up and have an official TF2 tournament, where would we cast it from? I doubt they'd be able to facilitate any sort of casting space for us.

FITES on the other hand, shouldn't sell out on us too quickly, we can get seating arranged favorably, the admins are close associates of ours, they're eXcited about working with TF2 again, and we could probably get a casting set up and spectator area in the side room.

I'm leaning more towards FITES, as much as I loved Montreal.

I was hoping that we could have squeezed in the Flame - dFlame scout match on cast, but we were running around too much and too eXhausted to keep the stream live after things wrapped Saturday Night.

If I had been aware of it getting started and included as a referee for the MGE match, my ruling would have been that if Gullywash mid was objectable to dFlame as a proper arena for scout v scout then he shouldn't have waited till the score was 15-3 to start eXpressing that view. Flame wins imo.

If I had known that we didn't have time to fit in a proper re- match, which both players agreed to (flame in a conversation before my interview with dFlame, and dFlame during my interview with him), I would have grilled dFlame about the above fact and made him commit to a new name on stream. Damn.

ETS tickets sell quick enough that we'd have to group pre-purchase a massive block of tickets before they even open registration... I had an amazing time there the two times I went and would love to co-ordinate going again sometime.

VODS are going to take us a bit to process because we are going to upload the raw footage from Dashner's computer instead of chopping up the twitch video. We will fill in where we have to, and Dashner and I will certainly be working together to get these ASAP, that said... ... there were so many great photos and videos taken by people throughout the LAN that we could integrate into a lengthier pre-tourney intro vid, and then release the vods chronologically on eXtv over the course of a week or something, just to kind of make it more of an eXperience for the people who weren't there and would be catching up on this event. Turn it into a sort of mini-series yknnaaooow.

I teXted dashner a bit ago, but he is probably still driving ... no idea what he thinks about it, or if people would just prefer for us to put them up ASAP.
