#19 My First Frag Video in TF2 General Discussion

no offense taken by the fact that people eXcited to see it. I'm glad to clarify anything if there are any other questions.

Luc and I were talking last week about some of our scrap footage, and that stuff might start getting released much sooner.

The documentary has mostly been Luc because video editing is the bulk of the work. Airon has done massive work on sound, and still has work to do, but also is in a waiting pattern till the editing is finalized. Sal is directing the whole project, it's his script and final say. I'm contributing guidance to the editing and writing the script for certain parts.

Thorn, I don't know where you got that misconception.

From the i46 fundraiser, all that money went directly to team efforts. I kept everything that was for the documentary (Luc's flight to i46, Compensation for Airon, etc.) seperate. I MIGHT have paid for our dorm rooms (myself, Luc, Airon, Sal) with fund raiser money. Fundraiser money going to the documentary was kicked around, similarly to what TF.tv is saying they're going to use eXtra funds for: improved coverage.

Luc did have a donation link on his LoZone website, and at one point I remember a bit of a mis-communication about it, but that link is just a general tip of the hat link towards Luc, not directly related to funding the documentary.

Luc definitely wants to become a full time videographer and eXtv would like to help him accomplish that. The documentary will be somewhere around 40 minutes and yes I'd like it to be as slick and professionally done as possible, so it'll take time. We've cleared a lot off our plate's and the production pace has picked up. Thanks for your patience.

Music: "Culture of Prey" by The Old Haunts - Purchase the Album on iTunes!
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/fue...

eXtine-o-mite is going to be an ongoing series featuring frags and editing done myself. More effort is going into the neXt one, I need to clear some hard drive space out and I'm getting better all the time.

Shout out to the Portland Burnsiders, the new team from eXtv featuring players from Portland Oregon. We'll be playing in ESEA-Open neXt season.

#228 UGC Admin TF2_Moose VAC Banned in TF2 General Discussion

I voiced my opinion in the new thread.

I like Moose personally, seems like there is something else besides the OpenPlugin going on. He said he's going to step away, but I think he should still face player sactions at least. UGC's indecisiveness on this versus the m4rissa debacle is humiliatingly hypocritical.

If it's determined he was testing the stuff for UGC, and simply failed to use an ALT, then I am not opposed to rehabilitating him as an admin+player down the line.

#4 ESEA LAN is in less than two weeks! in LAN Discussion

Given the date, they'll prolly think you're doing something else with your personal day...

Hard for me to juggle Saturdays to get them off now adays, I will be stoked to watch the Grand Finals Sunday though.

Hopefully Broder can make it too! Do a fundraiser, I'm sure people would help. If the team can plan out to get there but just needs the support, you have a little over 4 months to make it happen.

#1 Portland (X-post from Recruitment) in TF2 General Discussion

Yao.

Sorry for X-posting, but I just realized that recruitment posts don't show up in the main forum activity window on the left side.

I'd like to draw TF.tv's attention to a thread I just put up: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/6798/1#post-95621

eXtv is launching a local eSports team in Portland Oregon and are looking for players that live within an hour away. TF2 will be our focus, but we'll be playing other games as well as hanging out once a month.

Gotta build up Local scenes to build up the Online scene.

#1 Portland BurnSiders - LFP in Recruitment (looking for team)

YYyyyaaaoooooo!!

eXtv is launching a new venture, an eSports team local to Portland Oregon. Supporting eSports is a passion of ours, and we want to create new approaches that will be more viable than past attempts. We have felt that the Gaming Organizations and eSports teams of the past have failed us, and a new route is needed.

This is an ongoing recruiting effort for players who live within a few hours of Portland, Oregon. If interested, please e-mail eXtine@eXtelevision.com with your steam ID and information about yourself and why you want to join the team.

We will be grandfathering in players from Project X to help us get this project off the ground, and also because they are good friends I want to keep playing with.

As fun and easy as it is to play video games Online with people, we believe that Offline real life interactions are what will push the eSports community forward. Traveling is eXpensive, and it will be difficult enough getting a local team to a local LAN. Building up a local team will insure that we are creating strong bonds with our players that lead to a lasting connection. Our goal is to have an in person meeting once a month.

Players must be 18 or older and will be asked to finance their own league play and sign a contract regarding conduct.

Just like our previous associations with teams, we'll be using the gameplay of our players to provide great content for our Youtube. There are obviously some major long term goals with this effort and we hope that we can eventually provide more for our players.

Team Fortress 2 is definitely our core game, but The BurnSiders will be competing in multiple games.

We have also created a steam group for Fans and Supporters of this effort. We will use the group to spread news about the team and put together pugs: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/BurnSidersFC

We do not have a logo yet, but there will be one, and T-shirts.

The Asia scene still has time to set up their own trip if they want.

Australia too, which I believe is in some sort of stage of work. If you believe in the OZ, hit up your local representative.
